Q:oil/fuel additives?
Don't waste your money. Just make sure you use premium oil in your car as most better oils contain all the additives your car needs. Pretty much the same goes for gas, just stay away from 'noname' gas stations. Other than that the only thing that you may want to consider is a winter additive for your gas (if you live in a very cold climate).
Q:Do most health dangers of smoking cigarettes come from the actual tobacco leaves or the additives?
The additives. Let me tell you something. When I was a nursing student, someone asked what was in cigarette. Our professor said, look under the kitchen cabinet at all the cleaning products, then go to the laundry and check out those cleaners, next go under the bathroom sink and look at those cleaners. That's the additives that are in cigarettes along with others" He was right. We didn't have computers back then but books told the hold story and it was sickening. The tobacco leave by itself really doesn't contain anything unnatural because it is a natural product. The Indians only smoked pure leaves. So yes, it's the additives. Sorry for the narrative.
Q:whats additive inverse?
In mathematics, the additive inverse, or opposite, of a number n is the number that, when added to n, yields zero. The additive inverse of F is denoted −F.
Q:Are ink and additives used in inkjet printers harmful to humans?
The chemical properties of butanone and acetone are very similar. Butanone: colorless liquid. A melting point of -86.3 ° C, a boiling point of 79.6 ° C and a relative density of 0.8054 (20/4 ° C). Dissolved in about 4 times the water, soluble in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents. And water to form a constant boiling point mixture (containing butanone 88.7%), the boiling point of 73.4 ℃. Steam and air to form an explosive mixture, the explosion limit of 2.0% to 12.0% (volume). The chemical properties are similar to acetone.
Q:Engine oil additives?
If you really want the truth, I have owned 2 vehicle that I seldomly changed the oil. Maybe in 10k miles increments, never ever added any type of oil additives or any other type of additives. 1993 Cavalier, had 175k miles on it & it finally dies not from oil issue related but was in a wreck, broke the top of the radiator. I continued to drive it but had to add coolant every day. One day I didn't add coolant & it overheated & took out the engine. But it was still running strong, no noises from the engine at all. 1994 Chevy G-20 conversion Van that had almost 145k miles & same on it, I did sell it due to having brake issues but is also ran strong. Changed the oil maybe every 10-12k miles, no additives ever I think all those additives are just snake oil in a bottle like the old western days but if you think about it, all the additives can do is soften the seals f possible to try to prolong their lives. But plain ole oil does the rest with lubrication. Additives cannot do anything to increased in clearances from worn out parts or from abuse. So it is really a waste. some like Lucas claim you can run the engine longer without oil but if you change your oil at regular intervals, whats the point of adding Lucas or the other crap ?????
Q:Is there any harm to the use of fuel additives in cars?
It is the money used by idiots, if you have money, add a bit down to the heart of the feeling of thieves comfortable ...
Q:Salt, white sugar is not a food additive?
Belong to, not all of the food additives are harmful to the human body. Those countries allow the addition of food modified preservatives can be eaten, no matter what kind of additives, even if it is harmful to the human body as long as the reasonable range is the human body Can only be resolved within the scope of no harm. Moreover, the state is also very important to this piece of food additives, and now there is a pure bio-type food additive polylysine, which is made of lysine polymerization, the main The role of preservative preservation, after eating by the human body is one of the eight essential amino acids, lysine, absolutely non-toxic side effects, you can rest assured that the use of food industry, especially now is the cusp when the anti-corrosion preservative must be careful Consider, must be qualified to the human body harmless additives will have a market, can do more long.
Q:Food additive compound leavening agent by what constitutes
Additives, starch, fatty acids, salt, etc., the role is to improve the preservation of leavening agent to prevent moisture absorption failure, regulate the gas production rate or make the gas uniform, the content of additives is generally 10% to 40%.
Q:how good is prolong oil additives?
I don't know if prolong is a name brand additive or just an additive. I do not advise using additives, however, If you are talking about something to give you better mileage and less wear on your engine I would say full synthetic and I still would never go longer between oil changes as although synthetic moisture and contaminants can still get in your oil. You maybe can go up to 5,000 miles the most I would personally recommend. If I am not answering the question just ignore it and I am sure you will get the correct answer.
Q:Do automotive oil additives really protect your engine?
Slick 50 works for me - it does NOT act as a viscosity improver, but adds teflon to the engine and allows it to work into the crevices as an anti friction agent. It does eventually filter out over a period of a few years - I noticed on first application a significant 20 pound improvement in oil pressure and no more rattling lifters. That was five years ago and I ran that particular car down to one quart due to a severe leak more than once. I'm still driving it and the pressure needs pumping up again - and the pesky lifter is rattling again at idle. I'll pick up another quart next time its on sale and do it again. It's a '90 Cherokee with over 175,000, and I don't plan on getting rid of it yet. Other additives are much less helpful - STP for one, as all it does is boost viscosity, just like a 50 weight oil change. The most specific additives are becoming a lot more helpful, zinc phosphate the most. It has been reduced in the latest SM rated oil to reduce emissions and because modern roller lifter engines don't need it - but older flat tappet motors, especially those just rebuilt, desperately do. GM offers anew engine assembly lubricant," which they used to sell as just an additive, which is zinc phosphate, with a good reputation in the industry. Some other additives, such as Seafoam, or Rislone, will do what they are marketed for - clean out the gunk from engines used in stop and go suburban commuters, but the rest can be really difficult to accept unless you have direct experience with them - like the latest marketed push in the big white jugs. That wasn't any better that STP, and racers claims that it works don't show up in the winner's circle. It's just a sponsorship paid claim. Zinc phospate is still in 10-40 oils and thicker, older grades. But for all the rest, it's largely snake oil, except for teflon, moly disulphide (another racer's secret,) and zinc phosphate.
