Some of the big box hardware stores carry a product to patch/touch-up porcelain. This MIGHT work for your sink, but not sure how long it will last. Would require some surface preparation to make sure you have a clean surface with some profile to it for the product to adhere (like sanding the sink surface).

Q:Water takes forever to go down the drain, and weve tried draino and vinegar and baking soda, which neither worked. We cant snake because the damn stopper doesnt come out. What else can we do?

If you can take the trap off the sink then you will be able to unclog it. You need to remove the piece of the stopper and replace that part. That is what is catching hair build-up. It will amaze you what the trap looks like inside. Jo Ann

Home Depot and Lowes have kits that can repair sinks and even paints (looks like nail polish) that once repaired you can paint it and cover the area. Ask an associate that works at one of those places for their advice.

get yourself a bucket and a pair of channel lock pliers , take the big nuts off the p trap , turn it over into the bucket , look for your ring find it and put everything back together. no water will squirt at you , but you may spill some

Q:My husband was installing our new bathroom vanity after recent flood damage and the cabinet was just a bit too wide to slide into the spot. So he decided instead of sanding the drywall down he just cut it out. Now I have a 2 inch large hole in the drywall all around the sink and the sink protrudes a bit into the drywall. Not a huge problem except that we have to put a back splash back up around the sink to replace the existing we took out and I have nothing to adhere it to. I was told to get the mesh drywall patch and joint compound and just patch it but the sink still protrudes and I have nothing to really secure the patch to. I cant pull the cabinet out either because he already hooked up the water lines/plumbing. Help!

A piece of wood like a shim or lathe slat 1/4 X width of hole +bit more. Drill a hole in the center of the wood and put a string through and tie into a not bigger than the hole, insert the piece of wood in the hole in the wall {trim down until it can fit but still want it little wider to stop against} and pull back on string until flat against the back of the wall. This is the backing you can use to patch the hole. You will need to hold it in place while applying first layer. Try to include the backing in patch work to hold. Good Luck

you cant unglue something like that, it can be possible to pry it off the wall if it is sheetrock, the paper on the sheetrock might give before the sink breaks. if it is siliconed around the edges, as some contractors use this as a way to fasten sinks to the wall, then cut it with a utility knife and pry around it as you go. if it is constuction glue on plaster, your screwed unless you have a diamond grinder to cut the wall around the sink and pry it off that way. also, if it is silicone, make sure to cut around the outside edge so you dont tear the paper up the wall
