Q:I just got a pair but are they good? I've heard they are awesome....
They are pretty good not awsome but ok, a good type of bearings is Reds, they are decently priced and they are wonderful
Q:I know it all depends on preference, but is it worth upgrading from ABEC 5s to ABEC 7s?
It all depends on how serious you are. If you're just playing road hockey with some friends, you're probably not going to get much of a performance difference from ABEC 5 to 9. If you play competitive inline hockey, then I guess it might be worth it. Swiss bearings are better than any ABEC ones though so keep that in mind. Oh, and how clean the bearing is, and whether it still has any grease to it is just as important as the rating. Use some WD-40 on that **** and you'll be good to go.
Q:ok I took apart my bearings, cleaned the shields with water, put about 2 drops of lube in each after letting the bearings sit in a 50% alcohol solution for 10 minutes, put it all back together after drying off the stuff and lubing it. Just rode it today and it seems that the bearngs are making noise.... is this normal???
Don't just let them sit in the solution, you have to shake them around to get the crud out. You can get a Bones Bearing Cleaning Kit, or make your own (Google is your friend here). If I haven't cleaned my bearings in a while, I usually rinse heavily with water to get thick dirt off, then put them in a 90% alcohol solution (50% is a bit low, that's half water) in that Bones cleaning it, shake for ~10 minutes, and then do it again, then wait until they dry (put them on a heat vent or something), then two drops in each bearing and I spin them to make sure they're quiet before re-assembling the shields and whatnot. If they're still noisy, I put another drop of lube in.
Q:im getting a evo longboard and i have a stella a form and i want to know if i have to clean my bearings and when should i do it and where do i get them
really you should do it about every 6 times you ride. But as long as you clean them every now and then its no big deal. just don't let it get to dirty. and if it gets really dirty you can tell in the way it rides. I clean mine ever week or so.
Q:My car has recently started making extremely loud noises.. squeeking, squiling, grinding, and its all coming from the back of my car. This noise now continues while I drive, but at first it was just while I would press the brakes. Im trying to determine if this is my brakes going bad, or if it is my wheel bearing going bad. Anything would help thank you!
You going to wait until the brakes fail to have them inspected?!! WTF you waiting for?
Q:buying my first skateboard.
the bearings are what make the wheels move on the trucks and it holds the wheels to the trucks .. its the thing inside the wheels and it can be any color like mine are red
Q:how to replace front wheel bearings for 1997 mustang?
Front wheel bearings are easy to change on rear wheel drive cars.but make sure you pack the new bearings with grease.I don't mean rub some grease on them,I mean PACK.If you do not know how,get some help. The bearings will not last long if you do not pack them.
Q:Building a longboard
Bearings are the same unless you have 10mm axles. You would know this when you get the trucks. They use a different bearing, but the wheels are the same. Skateboard parts are standardized.
Q:i need to clean my bearings they are dirty but i am scared that if i take them out i will crush them.Any proper ways to take them out ?
what i do is i take my screwdriver and pull it off
Q:I am just putting in new wheel bearings on a utility trailer. I have packed them well with wheel bearing grease, installed new seals and installed it all on the hub. How tight should I put the star nut on? It seems as if one opening for the cotter pin is loose and the next one is quite tight.
That star nut your talking about can be removed from the nut...And is adjustable to fit in the right location. Hand tight While spinning the tire works best for your bearings...
