- Q:What would happen if someone where you flush cement mix down the toilet and should I do it.
- No you shouldn't do it. Surely there is somewhere else you could put it - anywhere would be better than down a toilet.
- Q:I am just curious, if I were to use 6 inches of reinforced concrete, making a 'domed tunnel' 100 feet long, how much weight would it be able to support on top? I know a dome can take a lot of weight, but what would be the math formula for figuring this out?Reinforcement would be 5/8quot; steel re-bar creating a skeletal structure to inject cement into and around.
- Portland cement reinforced will have a maximum sustained tensile strength of 2500 PSI. Monolithic dome construction utilizes Gunite which is the same material used for swimming pools, and can withstand 5000 PSI or greater as it must support water's weight of approx. 8 lbs per gallon.
- Q:ok. so how much sand and cement (in 1 ton bags and 25 kilo bags respectively) do i need per 1000 bricks and per 250 breeze blocks? (the mortar ratio is 4 sand to 1 cement and im using standard metric bricks and blocks) thanks in advance peeps
- Personally I would avoid the 1 ton bags of sand, they are much too heavy to carry and manipulate. Buy smaller bags of sand.
- Q:She said that I had to do it like that so my teeth wouldn't hit the brackets. How long is it going to be like this? I tried eating tonight and it was very difficult, since I can't close my mouth all the way, I can only chew on the cement part!Am I going to have that on for like 2 years? OH man I hope not!! Is it temporily or do you have to have it the entire treatment?
- Cement blob? I don't remember that part.
- Q:A bag of cement weighing 350 N hangs in equilibrium from three wires as suggested in the figure below. Two of the wires make angles θ1 = 61.0° and θ2 = 41.0° with the horizontal. Assuming the system is in equilibrium, find the tensions T1, T2, and T3 in the wires.T1 = T2 = T3 =
- The tension in the third wire is equal to the weight of the bag of cement. The sum of the vertical components of the tension in each of the other wires is equal to the tension in the third wire. So, the sum of the vertical components of the tension in each of the other wires is equal the weight of the bag of cement. Vertical component = T * sin θ For the left wire, vertical component = T1 * sin 61 For the right wire, vertical component = T2 * sin 41 Eq#1: T1 * sin 61 + T2 * sin 41 = 350 Since the system is in equilibrium, the magnitude of the horizontal components of the tension in each of the other wires is equal. Horizontal component = T * cos θ Eq#2: T1 * cos 61 = T2 * cos 41 T1 = T2 * cos 41/cos 61 Substitute (T2 * cos 41/cos 61) for T1 in Eq#1, and solve for T2. T2 * cos 41/cos 61 * sin 61 + T2 * sin 41 = 350 T2 * (cos 41/cos 61 * sin 61 + sin 41) = 350 T2 = 350 ÷ (cos 41/cos 61 * sin 61 + sin 41) = 173.4741944 N This is approximately 173.5 N Substitute 173.4741944 for T2 in Eq#1 and solve for T1. Eq#1: T1 * sin 61 + 173.4741944 * sin 41 = 350 T1 = (350 – 173.4741944 * sin 41) ÷ sin 61 = 270.0495844 N This is approximately 270 N. To check this answer, substitute both answers in Eq#2: T1 * cos 61 = T2 * cos 41 270 * cos 61 = 173.5 * cos 41 131 = 131 This proves that the tensions are correct! I hope that my work has helped you understand how to solve this type of problem.
- Q:I'm building a model and I want to glue some acrylic sheets to a cement piece. I need to know what kind of glue should I use? Thanks.
- Cement is a generic term for any kind of glue. If you mean concrete, inquire at a masonry supply store about surface treatments. They have some sort of epoxy coating for that.
- Q:What should I do about the corners? Do they require cement pillars? The garage is about 25' by 20'. What brand or type of cement is recoommended. Here in Texas, the ground shifts because of the high clay content. A car or SUV may be parked on the cement.
- First off you won't just use cement you will need concrete. cement is a material that is used to make concrete. For a garage use a 6 bag half air mix. most garages are poured at a 4 in thickness at about a 4-5 in slump. 6 bag mix will give you about a 4000 psi if poured at a 4 in slump. the consitancy to your concrete is important to keep the strength this what I mean by slump. use wire mesh and an synthetic fiber to strengthen your concrete to help prevent cracking. if you have a 25x20x4 you will need 6.25 yards of crete. if your grade isn't good you may want to go with 6.5 yards. if using mesh which is a good idea you will need chairs too.
- Q:my boyfriend wants the jordan black cement 3's from 2011 do u know the price of them and where i can buy them ? thank uuu :)
- Probably the most common occurrence and issue out there is having gum stuck on your shoes. There are time when it comes right off, then there are times when it's a desperate struggle to remove every single sticky bit of it off your shoes. The Air Jordan 3 has had a big year with some much loved, classic colorways returning to NikeStore, as well as a new edition especially for this year. Launching on Black Friday is the next installment the iconic Black/Cement Air Jordan 3 Retro. With big-time innovation and lethal good looks, the Air Jordan 3 was the first shoe designed by Tinker Hatfield and features visible Nike Air and elephant print alongside the introduction of the iconic Jumpman logo. The launch of this shoe was the first time Spike and Mike hooked up and Mars Blackmon started hitting TV screens around the world.
- Q:i got my braces off, last year may so a year now. i still have cement on them because he didnt take all of it off. can i get my teeth whitened or the cement needs to be gone?
- You should probably go to your ortho and see about getting the rest of the cement removed. Dentists can probably also remove it, so you could ask your dentist if they can and then have them remove it. If your dentist can remove the cement and you're getting your teeth whitened by your dentist, you could probably have the cement removed and then get them whitened at the same appointment. You should call your dentist's office or ask at your next cleaning appointment about the cement and whitening your teeth. Who knows? Maybe if you call they might be able to get you in that day to get the cement removed. Hope I helped! :)
- Q:It doesn't have 2 b painted it just has 2 b cement and in Ohio
- We have those places with cement lawn ornaments everywhere here in Indiana. I dont know what part of Ohio you are in, but here are a bunch of places in Ohiop that sell concrete lawn ornaments. They should have the geese. Im sure it is a popular item. Dont forget to buy clothes for your goose!
