Q:Hello, I need to replace a small piece of short piled light beige carpet, therefore, can anyone recommend a transparent non clumping glue? Thank you for taking the time to help me!
Ugh carpet glue or any glue is the worst and it will never stay. Unless this is a room you dont care much for then just use some standard loctite in a cream glue. otherwise there are ways to iron and stich a new patch in and it looks and blends right into the carpet.
Q:In the corner of my bedroom the carpet smells musty, almost like this mildew moldy smell even the lower part of wall stinks. It has a wooden border (if that helps) the water heater is also on the other side (outdoor patio). I've used baking soda, carpet cleaning spray. The manager had them remove the pad under the carpet only and had it steam clean but all this only seem to mask the smell for a few days. Today the supervisor came and said something about painted the walls. I know what mold/mildew smells like (for I lived in a place that had it for over 3 years) . But the management and there clean crew insists that its nothing. I even had a few friends come over smell the carpet they said it stinks. I don't know what else to do.....any suggestions?
the carpet cleaning companies have microbes that eat the bacteria in a carpet and when that bacteria is gone [dead] the microbes die and leave no odor == this is something that you can purchase and pour on the spot and near area of the carpet and cure
Q:How do carpets protect finished products?
We should conscientiously implement the system of post responsibility and strictly implement the system of handing over procedures. Where every process is completed, it should promptly clean up the debris on the carpet and clean the contaminated parts in time. And pay attention to close the doors and windows and close the faucet in the toilet, to prevent rain and water carpet accident.
Q:How to clean the coke on the carpet!
apply detergent on dirty places, rub over and over again, then absorb the water after it is clean, finally blow it dry with hair dryer.
Q:I am having such a hard time finding a rug for my small studio apartment! I have white walls, an off-white/very light creme colored modern leather couch, a glass coffee table (smart coffee table-cb2) and a dark wood tv console. I just purchased a small dining table which is basically next to my tv console and it is also dark wood. I wanted to keep the entire room light but after an impulsive buy, I realize that the dining table definitely darked the room by a lot. Would using a white area rug clash with the off-white couch? I was also thinking of a light taupe colored rug that I think might match better but I want a color as light as possible. Would white be bad, aside from difficulties in maintenance?Last question, in a small room, would a dark wood tv console, dark wood dining table and a dark wood entryway console table be too much dark wood? Thanks a lot!
Best Couch Color
Q:After cleaning carpet, have very big stink, have a few months, it is formaldehyde flavour?
As carpets are laid on the floor for a long time, they are not cleaned in many places, resulting in the formation of various bacteria, viruses and viruses. Some carpets are long and are often difficult to clean completely, but only to clean the front. This causes negative bacteria to develop.
Q:Can anyone tell me if it is tacky to use a large carpet remnant as an area rug rather than buying a regular rug? I'm on a pretty tight budget, and I need a LARGE (10x10 ish) rug for our living room. Regular rugs that large are several hundred dollars. What do you think? Any other suggestions?
Not tacky! I was wondering about the edges though... Will they look worn out after some time? I guess it depends on the quality of the carpet. Have you considered buying a used rug? Check out second-hand shops, Salvation Army shops, garage sales ect - plus ads in the local newspaper. Or you could place an ad yourself?
Q:I painted my living room and I covered my carpet the best I could; however, there's always that little blotch of paint that somehow slips through. I tried Goof Off paint remover and I think it sucks. Any good recommendations?
WD-40 works well
Q:My house is 5 years old. The carpet looks like it is 15 years old (cheap builders carpet). I have 2 dogs (both about 50lbs) and a cat. We are trying for our first child. Would you reccommend the hardwood laminate flooring or a better quality carpet?
Hard one to call. We had all carpeting until the little one got old enough so that she wasn't falling down all the time. Then I ripped it out and put down laminate in the bedrooms and tile in the living room. I like the idea of laminate over carpet, but be vigilant with the kid ; spills that are not discovered and picked up right away can ruin laminate.
Q:I want something under my dining table to catch spills from my little children (and husband...). We have carpeting in the dining area, and used to have a regular area rug under the dining table, but it kept bunching up and was terribly annoying. I'm trying to figure out another solution. Thanks!
