I have white walls, an off-white/very light creme colored modern leather couch, a glass coffee table (smart coffee table-cb2) and a dark wood tv console. I just purchased a small dining table which is basically next to my tv console and it is also dark wood. I wanted to keep the entire room light but after an impulsive buy, I realize that the dining table definitely darked the room by a lot. Would using a white area rug clash with the off-white couch? I was also thinking of a light taupe colored rug that I think might match better but I want a color as light as possible. Would white be bad, aside from difficulties in maintenance?Last question, in a small room, would a dark wood tv console, dark wood dining table and a dark wood entryway console table be too much dark wood?Thanks a lot!

I would bring in some color, any color, light greens or blues and throw pillows of the same color and throws and add some brown into the mix to help the dark wood not stand out so much.

Q:I got a puppy and a kitten at basically the same time, so needless to say, the carpets need to be deorderized so they will not be tempted to keep peeing on them again.I heard you needed to basically douse it in Natures Miracle, let that dry and then sprinkle baking soda on it for 2 days then vacuum up. But when i sprayed it down the carpet got ripply and did not dry flat for some reason... it seems like it is ruined!What do i do now with this carpet? is there a way to make it flat again? and how do i deodorize the rest of them in the house?Please help

Q:I am putting in 2 subs in my car with a plate so the subs look like the back of the trunk. Problem is that my carpet has quickly deteorated due to my previous box and I want to replace it. I am going to cut out a plywood sheet to fix the bottom of the car then install the carpet on that. The plywood is going to have a hinge to swing it up so I can get to the spare tired + add extra support. I need to do this by saturday before the subs are installed. What thickness plywood should I use (Thinner is better for me and I am going to drill holes in it for weight reduction) and how do I install the auto carpet so it's smooth and looks nice.Thanks!!!

Trunk carpet and most other carpets are preformed to fit, you can get one from a auto upholstry shop or the dealership, they are held in by push pins to install them, any mods you do to the trunk you have to mod the carpet to compensate, as for the ply wood, you might wanna go with 1/4 inch thick.. not being there it is kind of hard to imagine what your doing, but anytime your modding a trunk, there is alot of problems you can come across.. most modders when doing up a trunk say hell with the carpet and make a custom fiber glass mold (very professional job), so, all in all, write these plans out before you do them and also make some measurements, gotta remember you have only one shot at this so make it a good one.... best of luck to ya.
