Q:Hello, last night my dumb boyfriend spilt curry all over my sheepskin rug-tried cleaning with carpet cleaner but its not really taken out the stain. Should I take it to the laundrette? Dry clean? Please help!
No take your dumb boyfriend to the cleaners you wont get a curry stain out of a sheepskin rug although you could try bleaching it if it hasn't gone down too deep into the wool Try Hydrogen Peroxide from your chemist shop. if that won't shift it you need a new one sorry
Q:im a new rider, and next week i will got my first pony. i wanna buy some rugs for him. Couly you introduce different rugs and good brands.im in UK.xx
Is he coming with any rugs? See what he has before making any purchases. In terms of types, it depends on whether he is going to be field kept, stable kept, on a combined system and if he will be clipped in the winter. It also depends on the individual - some horses feel the cold more than others. It also depends on the storage space you have at the yard. My Connemara is on a combined system (in at night, out during the day) and has a hunter clip in the winter. These are the types of rugs he has: -Lightweight turnout -Middleweight turnout -Heavyweight turnout -Detachable neck cover for turnout rugs -Fly rug -Fleece coolers (we have a few of these as we like to keep one worn and the others clean for after bathing him when we are going competing) -Lightweight stable rug -Middleweight stable rug -Heavyweight stable rug -Duvet-type under rug -Summer sheet In the winter we layer rugs depending on the weather and the clip he has - he often starts with a blanket clip and once that starts to grow out, he has a hunter clip and requires more or different rugs. Rugs that are clean and not currently in use are left in the bags the cleaning lady put them in (we send rugs off to be cleaned a couple of times a year) and are stored in a wardrobe in a container provided by the yard we're on so they stay clean and dry. The rugs we currently use (fly rug, summer sheet, fleece, LW T/O) are hanging on racks in his stable - it may be summer, but the weather has no idea what to do so he is occasionally wearing a summer sheet or fleece at night. As for brands, it's trial and error. Our turnout rugs are Amigo and are about 12 years old and in excellent condition; our fly rug, under rug, summer sheet and one of the fleeces are Masta (again quite old - fly rug on its last legs though!); and his stable rugs all came with him. He did have two turnouts that came with him, but they got torn in the field - we tried patching them up, but they eventually died on us.
Q:An orange candle spilled on my light burber carpet. I've removed all the wax but now I'm stuck with an orange stain!!! Any suggestions on how I could remove it?
heat your iron, get a plain brown paper bag and a damp towel or damp rag. Lay the bag over the wax spill, put the damp towel on the bag; take the hot iron and hold ON the towel for a few seconds to a minute. May need to repeat a couple of times.
Q:Im gonna be selling silk carpets and o wanna whats the most appropriate thing to be in the advertisement and how it shoukd look and what info it shoukd have
I think to sell your carpet, you should show rooms with ambiance that does justice to your carpet. Like for example, traditional carpets look great in family rooms, formal dining rooms as well as living rooms. I don't know what your carpet looks like but I think I can already tell it is a great one for a living room where guests come or formal dining if the size is large. It should show how durable the carpet is and how it is any different from carpets being sold on the market. What comparative advantage do you have over other carpet sellers? Whom would it benefit and why should someone buy your carpets?
Q:Im replacing a carpet afrer one and a half year use.can i use the same padding under the existing carpet?
You may be able to but it will depend on exactly what type of pad it is. Check 1 st with the place your buying the carpet from. There is a good possibility that there is no carpet warranty if pad isn t replaced. It will depend on what you have down now. If this is a rebond pad of 6# or more you should be able to use it. If its a cheap foam pad , I can bet you won t get a warranty and really shouldn t use it. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q:You know, 3 or 4 inches thick... perfect for in front of the fireplace or anywhere me and my lover might want to get down...I just cant seem to use the right search terms online, and I keep finding entire bear rugs..... yuck... not very romantic.
Get the yellow pages and look up Furriers and call them. What you are probably looking for is a Sheep skin Rug which is a lot cheaper than a Bear skin. I would not advise you to have sex on it as fur items are very expensive to clean.
Q:How would you carpet your walls?
1 you need to seal the walls. Use carpet glue, spread on the wall with a fine notch trowel. get dry over night. 2 use a larger notch trowel to spread the final glue. Hold in place with staples every 6 across the top, put in a few as needed in the balance of the wall. use some type of hand roller to roll the carpet after its been up for an hour or so. For home use only. Do NOT use in a commercial building. Also do NOT block a fire exit with carpet unless you are sure of the flame spread rating. Carpet on the wall burns faster than on the floor.
Q:I know the chairs should stay on the rug when pulled out.. But it's a pretty small space. I was thinking maybe no rug at all would look Better than one that's too small!?
6x4 ft.The table looks better with a rug.
Q:Can anyone give me some tips on how to get chocolate out of a beige carpet? I found a mysterious chocolate trail(most likely melty chocolate chips or Hershey's kisses) across my bedroom carpet. I don't really know how it got there-.-While we're on the subject...I also have a rather large shampoo stain(I didn't know shampoo STAINED carpet...but apparently it does?) and a some green nail polish spots on my floor. I know...I don't take very good care of my carpetgt;.lt;But it would be nice to have my floor looking a little fresher...Thanks in advance:)
Treating any carpet stain depends on what your carpet is made of. If it's wool or another natural fiber, it will be harder to treat these stains. If it's synthetic (most wall-to-wall carpet falls into this category), you may have an easier time. A diluted solution of brake cleaner, which contains the same chemicals that professional dry cleaning incorporates, will work to remove most food stains. This is a nasty chemical, and you have to consider whether you want the fumes in your house -- but it will do the job better than off-the-shelf carpet cleaning products. Whatever solvent you try, the method is to blot up as much of the stain as you can, wet it (with water or a cleaning solution), and blot some more. Don't rub, as this will abrade the carpet fibers and work the stain in deeper. I would try plain water on the shampoo stain before anything else. For the nail polish on the floor -- depends on what kind of floor surface you are talking about. You might try applying a non-acetone nail polish remover *just* to the polish spot, with a Q-tip. Avoid using an acetone-based remover (will damage almost any surface). If your floor is vinyl or laminate (engineered faux wood), you may have better luck trying to gently scrape it off with a table knife. Finally, if you have wall-to-wall carpeting, a professional carpet steaming service is a pretty good buy for the kind of results you get (and the work you save yourself). Consider spending a couple hundred bucks and skipping all the work. Good luck!
Q:How to do if there is instant noodles soup on the carpet?
If the time of the soup left on the carpet is too long, close to the dry towel to suck, take away the suction nozzle of the vacuum cleaner, firstly, pour detergent water on it, dip a wet towel to wipe with a dry towel covered with a dry towel. You can use several towels one time
