Q:I bought a 1999 Volkswagon jetta and there is no sound coming from the speakers. There are speaker cables, power cables, and input cables in the trunk. The powers cables ( there is 2 of them) are both connected to the negative terminal of the battery. There is also 2 input cables. Do I need an amp in order for my speakers to work? Q:Ok A few months ago i bought parts for a brand new pc and recently got the video card and well the power supply PCI-e cable is a 6 pin and the motherboard requires a 4 pin. A friend said there are adapters but i've only seen one and it was not very good rating wise. Another big difference was the AC went from the PSU to the Start switch on the P.C case and back to the PSU for switch on. AXT started with a 20 pin power plug and later to a 24 pin power plug. Your link shows that converter from 20 to 24 pin but it was not needed for long because PSU manufacturers provided a 20 plug plus a 4 pin clamp on extension

Worry about the power requirements on the appliance label, and making sure you are feeding it with the voltage required, with a capacity within the range. In your instance, you will need a converter transformer that converts your outlet voltage to 100V, and has 550 or larger watt capacity.

Q:Just wondering if the eVGA GT 440 graphics/video card needs a power cable connect from the psu to it.I bought a PC pre-made from JB HI-FI and going to upgrade my graphics card. The one I have currently is the Radeon HD 4650 and it appears to have no cable connecting to it. There are however, some cables connecting to the motherboard near it.: No, it doesn't need one, but it's also a crappy purchase. The Radeon 6670 costs about the same, doesn't require external power, and slaps the GT 440 silly.

Q:Today I was using my pc, it was running awfully slow so I restarted and it kept flashing quot;Power cable has not been attached to your video cardquot;. So I turned it off and flicked the master switch on the back of the pc and sure enough it turned on. But it was all low resolution and said no ati driver is installed. I reinstalled all the ATI files and drivers and restarted and the same error message came up. I then flicked the switch on the back and it booted up. I have also checked the Hardware manager and it says for the Graphics card quot;Can not start (error 10)quot;. So what I think is that the pSU is not supplying enough power to the graphics card, so the pc switches to iGP, I have a funny fealing it's the PSU, not the GPU...: Assuming you've checked that the power cable to your GPU is still attached? And/or tried different 6-pin plugs into your GPU? If you've tried that and it still does the same, it is likely to be the power supply failing. Only way to rule it out is to try another device, such as GPU, which requires the 6-pin power addition from the PSU - if that works then it's your GPU, if it doesn't work then your original diagnosis was most likely correct.
