AR GLASSFIBRE CHOPPED STRAND
AR GLASSFIBRE CHOPPED STRAND is a high integrity AR glassfibre chopped strand designed for use in dry mix systems or other
premixing processes for subsequent moulding into a GRC component.
This kind of chopped strand has a sizing system optimised for abrasion resistance and strand integrity during blending with dry materials .The low-tex strand permits efficient reinforcement at low dosages .It is particularly suited to the preparation of pre-bagged mixes of special mortars or renders .It may also be used in the manufacture by precasting of standard GRC components.

- Q:What is the method of removing the cement on the tiles?
- First, do not use hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, oxalic acid, nitric acid, will seriously corrode the brick surface
- Q:I'm make a collage on my notebook, and I'm wondering if I can use rubber cement, bc i don't have glue and i only have a rubber cement bottle. Also, any ideas for me to glue on there? And the sad thing is is that i only have a Seventeen Magazine, and i need inspiration? :)
- No, it isn't good for collages. It does dry clear but, If you want to cover the artwork with it, dries sticky. ModgePodge is the best and you can get a Michaels coupon in the paper to get it 40% off. Definitely use ModgePodge!
- Q:What's best to use for scrapbooking/card-making, glue stick or rubber cement?
- Never use rubber cement for scrapbooking. It will ruin your photos. If you use it any where on the page, it will ruin your photos with time. Normal glue sticks (like for school) dry out too fast. I have had cards fall apart using them I highly recommend using a two way tape runner. Duck brand makes a decent one at a good price. Scotch brand makes a Wrinkle free glue stick that you can find in the scrapbook aisle at Wal Mart. Personally I stick to using two way tape runners.
- Q:RECENTLY BOUGHT A HOME AND WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN OUTDOOR TRASH CAN THAT IS MADE OF STONE AND CEMENTED INTO THE GROUND. HOW WOULD I BE ABLE TO REMOVE IT AND HOW FAR IN WOULD IT BE IN THE GROUND. IS THIS COMMON FOR 1950S BUILT HOUSE.
- just plant something in it.
- Q:How is Portland Cement made? What is the difference between concrete and Portland Cement?
- Portland cement is the most common type of cement in general usage in many parts of the world, as it is a basic ingredient of concrete, mortar, stucco and most non-specialty grout. It is a fine powder produced by grinding Portland cement clinker (more than 90%), a limited amount of calcium sulfate which controls the set time, and up to 5% minor constituents (as allowed by various standards). Portland cement, the basic ingredient of concrete, is a closely controlled chemical combination of calcium, silicon, aluminum, iron and small amounts of other ingredients to which gypsum is added in the final grinding process to regulate the setting time of the concrete. Lime and silica make up about 85% of the mass. Common among the materials used in its manufacture are limestone, shells, and chalk or marl combined with shale, clay, slate or blast furnace slag, silica sand, and iron ore. Portland was developed from cements (or correctly hydraulic limes) made in Britain in the early part of the nineteenth century, and its name is derived from its similarity to Portland stone, a type of building stone that was quarried on the Isle of Portland in Dorset, England. Joseph Aspdin, a British bricklayer, in 1824 was granted a patent for a process of making a cement which he called Portland cement. In its simplest form, concrete is a mixture of paste and aggregates. The paste, composed of portland cement and water, coats the surface of the fine and coarse aggregates. Through a chemical reaction called hydration, the paste hardens and gains strength to form the rock-like mass known as concrete. Within this process lies the key to a remarkable trait of concrete: it's plastic and malleable when newly mixed, strong and durable when hardened. These qualities explain why one material, concrete, can build skyscrapers, bridges, sidewalks and superhighways, houses and dams.
- Q:We have a balcony, and would like to turn in into a patio. The rain get on which is fine, but there are some parts of the balcony that is a little low, causing a puddle. We bought black roof cement to fill it up but at times it soft. What do I do to keep it hard and dry? Or am I buying the wrong product?
- Are you planning on putting something over the roof? Pavers, wood decking, etc. If not, be careful, most roofing materials are not made to handle frequent foot traffic. Should you decide to put something over it, make sure the framing can handle the additional load.
- Q:if a ball was dropped on cement and an identical ball was dropped on stretchy rubber, which scenario would result in the most force acting on the ball?
- F=mdv/dt [cement] F'=mdv'/dt' [rubber] then F'/F=(dv'/dv)(dt/dt') if contact time is the same [not true but just as ipothesis] F'/F=(dv'/dv) dv=vi dv'=2vi then F'/F=2 F'=2F in reality the contact time of rubber is significantly higher then cement resulting in an opposite situation F`/F<1 F'<F
- Q:i recently removed the tilling from my basement floor and now my basement is just plain cement flooring. What are the steps i need to take to tile over it?
- If you removed a ceramic tile either bu sure to scrape /break off existing thinset to get a smooth surface. Or you can use a self leveling mortar to smooth it out. You need a smooth clean surface to start out with. Then you can tile it.
- Q:color- white cement
- Try okorder has them in white and blue and I think eastbay might have them in white and blue too. The only place I've seen the white and cement ones is Ebay but you could try foot locker if you don't wanna try the other stores.
- Q:just curious
- Cement, most commonly referred to a Portland cement is a component of concrete along with water, fine and course aggregates. Most people use the terms interchangeably, but they are two different things. Mortar, which is used to keep brick or block walls together is a mixture of cement, sand and water. The ingredients aren't just thrown together, there are specific formulas and the amount of water included in the mix is critical, too much water weakens the concrete, which hardens through a chemical reaction, rather than drying out as most people think.
