FAQ of Cast Steel Check Valve:

Q1:I can’t find the type of steel check valve which I need. what can I do?

The chart above only lists out some common composition of steel check valve parts. We may provide other different parts material composition according to the customer's request or the actual valve working condition.

Q2:Which certification do your products pass?

  Our products are in accordance with ISO 9001ISO 14001API 6AAPI 6DTS CEAPI607/6FA/BS6755.

Q:Also please tell me why globe valves are preffered for Landing valves in wet risers in firefighting and gate valves in dryrisers..
A gate valve is normally used when the requirement is for on/off flow. The characteristic is such that most of the restriction to flow happens in the last 10 to 20% of valve travel. A globe valve is good for regulating flow - so its not either on or off, but there is the whole way in between. If you have a control valve linked to the plant control system, there would normally also be a manual bypass (so you could isolate the control valve but still use the plant). This bypass is normally a globe valve because they can still be used to control the flow.
Q:I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2L V8 I posted a question on here before and many thanks, What I had was a bent rod well I took off the head and removed all the valve springs and found that where the bent rod was the valve stems are bent too. What else do I need to do? or can I clean the head up make sure no valve holes are bent, replace the rods and valves and be good to go. I want my jeep running again!!! Thanks
Valve stems don't usually bend unless the valve hits a piston. I am assuming the rod that was bent was a push rod. The 5.2 engine is not an interference engine, so a cam timing problem would not cause the piston to hit the valve. I suppose that if you way over reved the engine a lifter could have pumped up and at a very high RPM the valves may have floated causing one or more to strike a piston. Push rods do bend for a variety of reasons, but to have a bent push rod AND a bent valve stem I would need more information to give you even an educated guess. You have the head off so look at the top of the piston and see if it looks like it was hit by the valves. Take the head to a machinist and have him check it for cracks and damaged guides. Have him check the valve spring tension also.
Q:Hi all, I found oil leakage in my distributor and am about to change the o rings. however, i feel that a blocked PCV valve is causing the pressure to push oil into the distributor. I have been searching for the PCV valve. Can someone please tell me where it is?
The PCV valve is located beneath the intake manifold on the right (passenger) side. It threads into the breather seperator and points toward the center of the car. To remove it, you'll have to remove the Idle Air Control valve located on the end of the manifold log. Be aware that you'll have to do at least part of this task underneath the car, and that the IAC valve has antifreeze circulating through it Get a mechanic to do it if you can afford it
Q:We have a main gas valve outside and there's a gas valve by out air condition and we want to know which way if off and on .. Does anybody know !!!
Most valves like this can be padlocked in the off position. Look at the movable part of the valve: if there's a hole for a padlock that's lined up with a stationary hole so that it can be padlocked, the gas is off.
Q:and i want to but over size valve seatscan i do it in a 1991 chevy chenynne k2500
I am assuming that you are referring to a small block chevy or similar engine. Valve seats occasionally crack where the two exhaust valves sit side-by-side. This is the only part where the two exhaust valves are next to each other; the others are separated. This causes high heat in this area and can fatigue and crack. You will need to replace valve seats on the heads which involves boring out the existing seats and installing new ones. You will then need to have new valve angles ground in so that the valves seal properly. While you are doing this I recommend putting in new valve guides, or in a worst case scenario bronze liners (this prevents the start up smoke). To do a set of heads properly you are probably in the neighborhood of $1500 plus and that does not include the removal and reinstallation. If you can I'd recommend a set of World Products SR Torquer heads, you will save money and increase performance. There are also a number of other good aftermarket cylinder heads out there, so the only limit is how much you want to spend. Good luck.
Q:Ok so i am 16 years old, and i have Aortic stenosis, bicuspid aortic valve, aortic regurgitation and an Enlarged aorta. I am soon going to be getting an aortic valve replacement. I am just wondering what happens before and after the surgery and how long i will be in the hospital, how long in the ICU, what kind of tubes/machines will i need? any information will help. thanks :)
Mechanical valve will last for ever. But the red blood cells will be damaged and clot will be formed in the implanted mechanical valve. In order to prevent the formation of blood clot, the patient has to take warfarin (a blood thinner) for the rest of his/her life. If pig valve is used, there is no necessity to take the medicine (warfarin) for the rest of his/her life. But the tissue valve will function only for 15 years. Since you are too young, you have to opt for mechanical valve and to take the medicine for the rest of your life. Valve replacement is indicated for virtually all who can tolerate surgery. In younger patients, the patient's own pulmonic valve can be used, providing good durability; a bioprosthesis is then used to replace the pulmonic valve (Ross procedure). Most often, the aortic valve is replaced with a mechanical or bioprosthetic valve. You will stay in an intensive care unit for the first 2 or 3 days following the operation. Your heart functions will be monitored constantly. The average hospital stay is 1 - 2 weeks. Complete recovery will take a few weeks to several months, depending on your health before surgery.
Q:she 13 and shes always sleeping what is a leaky valve there not telling me enough for me to understand and im a nurse tech im scared for her
nothing unless it is a problem like how big is it?does it cause symptoms dont worry till you have to my dad has one and never a problem ask your doctor to know forsure
Q:ok so the water main that comes into the basement the valve handle snapped off so how do i shut the water off so i can replace that valve? I called the water company and they said they cant shut off the supply to the house because it is private property and we have to call a plumber if so how can they shut the water off and on if we dont pay the bill?
Near the curb on your street you will see the Concrete box with the metal lid. Take the whole lid off. The valve should be inside. You need a tool for this or you can do what I do. Put a Big crescent wrench on the valve. Then take larger Chanel locks and grab the crescent wrench and turn a full 180 degrees. Check your sinks for the results.
Q:The pig heart is better than our heart but the valves can be used to help us.
I have had heart surgery and they ruled out replacing my valve with a pig valve because they only last about 5 years. They replaced mine with a mechanical valve, and so far it's amazing! If they replace your valve I believe they basically cut out the defective one and sew in a new valve, animal or man made. If replaced with a pig valve you must be on anti-rejection medicine, and have it replaced every five years or so. With a mechanical one you have to be on blood thinners, but they assume (last I heard) they should last a minimum of 40 years, probably longer.
Q:I'm drawing a complete diagram of the heart, but I'm unsure of the positions of the different valves. I know there are the pulmoary valve, the aortic valve, tricuspid/right AV, bicuspid/left AV, semilunar valves, mitral...but I know there are several names for some of them, like I think the mitral and the bicuspid are the same...but there are so many sources online I don't know which to believe. If anyone knows for absolute sure the right names and where they are it would be very appreciated if you could help :)
There are 4 valves on the heart. Right atrium Left ventricle Left atrium Right ventricle. The atriums are the top of the heart...the more smaler ones and the ventricles are th larger ones which are below the atriums.
