Q:please list few things would do on a farm to clean it.
Just about everything you do would have something to do with poo.
Q:A silo is to be constructed in the form of a cylinder (only 1 of 2 bases included) topped by a hemisphere. The construction cost per square unit of surface area for the hemisphere is 2.0 times as much as for the cylinder and the volume must be 840000 cubic feet. If construction costs are to be minimized, what should the radius be?
I was given this problem on a final exam as a freshman. You need to minimize the surface ares. You know that the area of the top is (Pi)*r^2 and the area of the cylinder portion is 2*(Pi)*r*h where r is the radius and h is the height. At this point, it looks like there are two unknowns. This is where you bring in the volume. You vet: V = (Pi)*r^2 * h So: 840,000 = Pi)*r^2 * h You can use algebra to get 'h' in terms of r and go back to the first equation. This puts surface area as a function of r. Take the first derivative and solve for r
Q:Wheat runs from a hole in a silo at a constant rate and forms a conical heap whose base is triple the height. If after 1 minute, the height of the heap is 20cm, find the rate at which the height is rising at this instant. [Volume Cone= 1/3*pi*r^2*h ]
Find the total volume of the cone right now (after 1 minute) using the formula and knowing that the height = 20cm and the base = 3x20cm Then, find the rate of the flow from the silo (volume found above, divided by time - or 1 minute) to get rate in cm^3/minute This is the rate for the whole cone - so you have to figure out the rate for just the height (cm/minute). Not exactly sure how to do that.
Q:Hi..can someone answer this question step by step so i can understand how to do it?...it is decided to investigate the manufacture of a silo capable of of holding 10 000 m^3 of grain. The silo must be in the shape of a cylinder with a hemispherical roof. The grain is stored only in the cylindrical part, not in the roof (hemisphere section). The hemispherical roof costs twice as much per square metre to manufacture as the cylindrical part. What dimensions should the silo have in order to minimise the costs of manufacture?...the dimensions are 'r' (radius of cylinder) and 'h' (height of cylinder)...10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER...all answers are appreciated...thanks
Let: V - grain volume a - cost to build 1 sq.m of cylindrical part Volume of cylindrical part is: pi*r^2*h = V So h = V / (pi*r^2) Total cost to build the silo is: Cost = pi*r^2*a (bottom of the silo) + 2*pi*r*h*a + 2*pi*r^2*2a (semi-spherical part cost twice) = = a*(5*pi*r^2 + 2*pi*r*h) = = a*(5*pi*r^2 + 2*pi*r*V / (pi*r^2)) = = a*(5*pi*r^2 + 2*V/r) You need to find minimum of the function dCost/dr = a*(10*pi*r - 2*V / r^2) = 0 r = (V/(5*pi)) ^ (1/3) = ... h = V / (pi*r^2) = ...
Q:i don't think n.korea would be stupid enough to use them. but i do think he would sell them to terrorist.
bush wont do anything in north korea you might remember pakistan they tested their nuclear bomb a while back the united states sanctioned them everybody got mad and now evrybody is fine with pakistan having nuclear weapons to its probably what will happen with north korea i mena they were bound to get nukes someday they wont use them because of mutualy assured destruction but i don think they will sell to terrorist either they just want their voice to be heard and they want to be respected the united states wants a regime change in north korea they want a democratic govt there just like in iraq and north korea feels threatened by this as it should be so they made a nuke to make shour something like that doesent happen
Q:I have a few options I'm juggling and Air Force Security Forces is at the top of my list. But if I decide to enlist whether it is active reserve or guard I don't want to guarding missile silos my entire career. I realize I may have to pay my dues and man a gate for a while which is fine. If anyone can help that would be great or if you are aware of another branch where this similar job has only law enforcement and no chance of getting stuck doing something else please enlighten me.
If your in the Reserves or Guard Thats is only a two day per month part time job You will not be guarding anything You will be going to drill one weekend a month at you local home town guard or reserve unit
Q:A silo is composed of a hemisphere and a cylinder. The total height of the silo is 50 feet and the diameter of the silo is 16 feet. What is the volume of the silo to the nearest cubic foot? Help me out please? I know all the formulas so you dont have to do work step for step but just give me an overview or a tip on how to do it i can figure the rest out ..buttt an answer would be nice (; thanks so much bye
okay first of all cut the diameter by 2 divide by 16 which gives you 8 then do 2x3.14x8 squared + 2 x 3.14 x 8 x 50 then it gives u the number i hope u get the answer?
Q:***-Heya got the game really kwl...but what does the silo do?***-THE DUCK POND COSTS 220,000G!!!! has any one got it...if u have cn u tell me the quickest way u got it pweese...xxx
It stores fodder I think (hay). The make money by going to the excavation area (northeast of the map, through the cave door) and hoe the ground for jewelry. Then I sell it to the guy at the inn. He's there on days ending in 3 or 8 (3, 8, 13, 18, etc.) 10 am - 6 pm.
Q:I cannot get my RCA Surround sound RT2390 to play through my Silo TV. I have cable hooked to it. Do I need an optical cable (digital) or a coaxial cable in order for it to work?
Connect optical cable or composite cables ( red white ) from cable box to sound system for audio.
Q:What certain things could you find on a farm. Including things like animals, machines, etc.
Depending on what the farm was used for you could find horses, cows(dairy, Beef) goats, pigs, sheep, chooks, ducks, alpacas, deers. Most farms have tractors for sewing new pastures and digging up the land as well as hay balers etc especially if they are growing feed. It really depends on what the farmer is trying to farm.
