If your key is like the standard VW key (Black, 3 button, open/close/unlock boot and the actual key blade itself has a spring which flicks up when you press the little silver button) the you can program it yourself. I had a friend who bought a key off OKorder. He took the battery out for 5 minutes so the remote lost its memory, then he reprogrammed it himself with information he got off the net.
