- Q: Nursing home residents need to have their clothes labeled with their names to ensure that the laundry room returns the clothes to their proper owners. I hand stitched (don't know how to use a showing machine) to her clothes labels I made using medical tape a Sharpie pen. Several washings later, while the stitched tape is still holding fine, her name is starting to fade - apparently Sharpie pen ink can only withstand so many washings. I've searched high and low, but I can't seem to find any sort of quot;clothing labelingquot; device / system / tags / whatever. Does anyone know of anything? Thanks in advance for any helpful advice replies!

- Q: I wanted to purchase a subscription to Better Homes and Gardens as a gift for my mother. I could subscribe myself for $5.99, but when I choose the gift option it increases to $11. Does anyone know why this is? Or if there's anyway to get around it?
- not sure
- Q: I live in the NE USA. I have an apartment porch with another porch on top of it, so I get sun in the afternoon, into early evening. I have to have a garden on the porch because any indoor plants will get eaten by the cats. I'd like to be able to plant some seeds in planters (either the long ones or in pots) and keep them on the porch to bloom and grow. I'm not sure what kind of plants would grow well in my area and under those conditions. Anything that can be planted, kept outdoors in the winter and grow back in the spring/summer would be awesome as well (perennials).I'm looking for as much help as possible. What kind of plants would work well, when I'd need to plant them, which kind of planter, how often to water and if I can leave them outside in the fall/winter and have them grow back on me.Thank you so much!
- If you want to grow veggies and fruits on your porch, tomatoes, peppers, and strawberries all will work in a container. Also, pretty much any herbs should do well.
- Q: WHat are your plans for the spring, Vacation, Gardening, buying a new home? Whats your agenda?
- I have a new home, but it needs Gardens and Flowers and Fountains, and Trees and a Pond and a Patio and Planters and..............(anyone here do landscape design??) :) my poor husband.......

- Definenetaly Target it is cleaner and I love that it has a Starbucks! I really don't shop at either Lowes or Home Depot I'm more of a Sears person!
- Q: I heard its illegal to grow your own coffee or chocolate plants. is this true? I'm in California, USA if that matters.
- You can grow them indoors as house plants just about anywhere if you maintain the right conditions. I believe that you need at least one other tree of each for cross pollination.
- Q: an unblemished better than a wheelbarrow load of sweet potatoes? Large pumpkins, luscious heirloom tomatoes, on and on! Then before going out to the garden the first lady demonstrates to the women and the children that you must first select just the right wardrobe, and sit for an hour or more in make-up, revealing only to the perceptive and uncharmed that it is not about the garden so much as it is about the first lady and her compulsive and insecure need to be admired and adored!
- There are many more important issues to think about than the first lady encouraging at home gardening. She's doing a good job getting people interested in gardening, if she dresses nice, good for her. Should she skip her shower and come to the garden with a dirty dress on, would that make you happy?
- Q: Please help me! I thought about using chicken wire, but it's expensive, hard, and all around kind of ugly. I have squirrel problems, too. but I would really appreciate ideas on this! Thankyou!
- sorry to say this but pee in your garden. the smell will help keep them away. Everytime it rains you will have to do this again. Read it it some book on natural ways to keep animals away.
