Q:I saw a wonderful thistle today in the park: tall (taller than me, at least 6'9 or maybe even more), strong, leafy, with huge mauve flowers and these dewy leaves. A common thistle. I am in love. So, I wondered: what is the best way to grow the same-like, big, tall, strong thistle on my garden patch? I have nothing against little thistles, but I'd like mine tall. Please, give me the tips, especially from your personal experience. And I would have preferred it to be organic, or, if it's not possible, nearly so. What should I do?
how okorder /...maybe Shaw. it is scottish for the guy who lives by the thicket. the scottish people adopted the thistle as their sign when it alarmed them to an attack by pricking the guys sneaking up on them and making them yell.
Q:Don't suggest something like religion spirituality -_-
Perhaps you'll find 'Home Garden' more to your liking Black Rose. Sorry the clientele of PS wasn't up to your standards...
Q:garden right next to the driveway is good i guess.. but i would not have privacy! definitely a back garden a priority for me.. more bbqs and parties in the summer :Dquestion rightfully belongs in HomeGardengt;GardenLandscaping .. but .. yeah .. nah ..

Q:How do I plant a delicious Herb garden? I’d like to pick home-grown herbs for my daily salad.
Hey okorder /
Q:suggested category...Home and Garden....pffff!
You have to follow some vastu guide lines.
Q:I have a mostly brick house, more red, fenced in back yard and am wanting to do a border of Perennial plants around my home. Wondering if this is a good idea, I don't know much about planting, gardening or anything of that sort. We have brick steps centered in the front and I want to go at an angle and leave gaps on either side of the steps to be able to plant some flowers or something. I would love some thoughts and opinions on all of this, seeing as I have no clue. I want to make sure all plants I use are safe for children and animals, I have 4 children, 3 of which are under the age of 5. Thank you for your time and help!Oh, any websites that you use personally or know would be helpful to me feel free to supply them =) I have had the hardest time finding anything helpful. Thanks!
i might pass with bleeding hearts. they desire almost no sunlight in any respect and are very fairly flora even while they have bloomed. Coral bells are advantageous, yet no longer strikingly colourful. previous formed tiger lilies might attain for what ever sunlight is accessible and could fill in nicely in a pair of years. Early fall is a stable time to put in perennials and that they'd have time to enhance some stable roots over the wintry climate.
Q:They made a rope ladder and Dr. Harry had kittens.

Q:We just bought our first home and there is a large garden in the front yard that was started but never finished. It has decrative stones and it's freshly mulched, but nothing has been planted. Now what? Any suggestions? It's partly shaded, partly sunny. I would like to fill it with something pretty, but most of all EASY! I've never gardened before - HELP!
Hi: I am a landscaper and designer and there are a couple of different things you could do. You could remove the decorative stone and mulch and set it aside to use, or you could just move them enough to plant some trees, shrubs and flowers. The only concern I have with the second option is you probably don't know if the ground has been prepped properly. Properly preparing any ground and soil is critical for a healthy garden. You have invested money in your first home, and landscaping is also an investment. I personally would recommend to take the decorative stones and mulch out. Properly prep your garden. I have a page on my website called plan - prep - and plant. This is a simple method to do any garden. You will want to til the area first and rake it out. Hopefully you can save as much of the stones and mulch. You might have to replace some, but it would be better than having dead plant speicmens in a few months. There are many different plants you could plant. I usually recommend starting out with trees, if you are going to plant them. You can do phase planting and the trees will be put in first, wait awhile and rest your wallet, and then plant some shrubs and flowers. I will link you to the gallery of plants section of my website and also my site map. The gallery has a variety of photos of trees, flowers and shrubs, with climate zones. I will also link you to the site map as this page has everything that is on the website. There are hand drawn designs for you to see, garden projects, outdoor features and other tips and techniques. Browse through and see if any of this information will help you. Good luck to you, and if you need some help, feel free to contact me. Have a great day!
