Q:How could I get Picture off of my Virgin Mobile phone without them going through my virgin mobile account and costing me money?????

Unfortunately, Virgin Mobile practically forces you to make them go to a picture message because the ability to use data cables on Virgin Mobile phones have been disabled. However, if you have a Shuttle or a Slider Sonic, photos can be transferred onto a MicroSD card from your phone and then into your computer (this makes picture messaging not required to get your pictures onto your computer) If you don't have a Slider Sonic or a Shuttle, then you MUST send your photos in a picture message to get them onto a computer. Bluetooth will not work either :-( Hope this helps :-)

I'm joining the club as well. Haven't been able to receive texts since about 9:30 this morning haven't been able to send any out since then as well. Can still receive phone calls get on the internet. Just called VM Customer Service heard the pre-recorded message as well. What a huge pain in the butt this is.

Definately the Shuttle!! Here is why the Shuttle is better: (+) Shuttle camera is 1.3 megapixel camera, Slash is just VGA (+) Shuttle can record video, Slash cannot (+) Shuttle is 3G speed and uses EVDO (this is Virgin Mobile's first EVDO 3G phone) (+) Shuttle has a music player (Slash does not) (+) Shuttle has removable memory, Slash does not (+) Shuttle is much quicker than Slash This is why the Shuttle is better :-) If you are planning of getting either one of these, it would be best to get the Shuttle, the higher price is worth it. I am planning on getting one!!

Q:I have the i776w boost mobile phone(you know the new purple one) and i want to change it to t-mobile because boost is ripping me off and giving me problems. There are too many dropped calls, bad signals and text messages will sometimes arrive late or not at all. Sometimes when i'm not even using my phone it says its busy and nobody can reach me on it. I can't download anything for free and i've bought 5 applications and i don't know how many wallpapers. But its whatever. I just want the unlock code, thats all.

Don't even bother trying to unlock it if you are going to try using it with T-Mobile as it will not work. Boost Mobile's i series phones are iDEN, while T-Mobile's phones and network are GSM. While both use sim cards, they are two different technologies and are not compatible with each other. iDEN phones can only be used with other iDEN providers, such as Nextel and SouthernLINC. As far as unlocking, each phone will have a different unlock code, so one phone's unlock code will not work with another phone.

I don't know about the messages, but the ringtones are not transferrable. Each phone has its own code for Ringtones and unfortunately there is no way to get ringtones from one phone to another.you just have to buy them again. Bummer, I know

Q:I have a lg rumour phone since January and it recently dropped from my pocket. The phone itself works its just the screen or something in the screen cracked. It looks like the screen when I broke my laptop. I'm currently on a 2 year plan at Virgin. Can I replace my phone for another one? ur on virgin mobile canada? well i guess u are. well if your phone doesn't have a sim card then it doesn't work with the GSM/HSPA phones. the phones like iphone,blackberry. are ones that use sims cardsalso the sim card will not work on other companies if u wanna get data off ur phone then u would use memory card. i am not sure if the lg rumour has MicroSD slots if u had the phone in january i doubt u can get a upgrade of any kind. i am pretty sure ull have to pay full price for it for a new lg rumor. also, the phone has warranty still BUT there is physical damage and usually people get denied new phones because they think you did the damage on purpose. which sucks all i can say is go to virgin mobile and ask if they can give u under the manufacturer warranty a new phone(i hope so) but thye might deny you as i mentioned about physical damage.

Q:I work in a small communications department (4 people, 1 of whom just resigned) and am wondering how best to approach my boss with the topic. Since we are at 75% working capacity at the moment it would be helpful if I had a mobile work phone to better stay in communication with the team and organization as a whole. It helps to really examine first your motive upon asking your boss a mobile phone. Does your need actually stem from your professional need of a mobile phone where you can actually say that your job is flooding you with so many contacts than you could handle. If so, all it takes is for you to deliver a clear picture of your need and a little courage to approach your boss in a way that would not make them think that your request is personal. Make them know that you yourself are able to produce your own mobile phone and the basis of your request only deals with your 75% working capacity which you perceive to be something that you can still improve.
