Q:plastics that are unsafe?
It is the hard plastics that remind you of glass
Q:form for plastic needed?
formed plastic is made from high heat and high pressure...the plastic is usually melted in a controlled way so it does not burn. Industry starts with uniform pellets which are then melted into a very thick medium. HIgh pressure air is usually used and is also warmed too to add to the molding effect. Molds are made out of Aluminum or steel alloys. They usually make a mold from solid aluminum, precisely grinding out the image into the aluminum, then one or more blow holes are added in both halves of the mold. THe mold is made into 2 pieces, halves, which will come apart easily too. THe temperatures that they deal with are between 500 and 1000 Fahrenheit, depending on the type of plastic....greater than that would cause burning. So if you have 5000 to 50000 laying around to invest into a blow molding machine then youcan do this. BUT...I would strongly suggest you forget about plastic and go with Fiberglas instead. Any marine or autobody shop or auto supply will have the materials. You'll also need an Organic filter mask, very good safety glasses, and thick plastic gloves or neoprene gloves. Make your mold out of wood and if for fiberglas then make the wood mold so that the fiberglas liquid does not escape., then pour the fiberglas mixture OR spread bondo over the wood around the mold. use the fiberglas strengthening tape or lath to reinforce the fiberglas or bondo. Then after 24 hours...remove the mold and carefully sand around it to smooth out the edges. Fiberglas or Bondo is much easier than plastic.
Q:Can i give my cat plastic?
You are asking all kinds of weird questions today aren't you? I have a better solution. Crumple up a big ball of tin-foil and give her that... she'll have a blast
Q:Can I throw my CDs to plastic recycling trash?
Interesting question. The aluminum foil backing isn't a lot of aluminum and the temperatures needed to separate the aluminum from the low value plastic would likely prevent the plastic from being recycled. I doubt that the current single stream recycling techniques could make use of used CD's. Gasifiers could turn the plastic into syngas from which liquid hydrocarbons like gasoline and diesel could be synthesized and then the aluminum could be refined from the resulting slag but aside from a few plasma trash incineration facilities, such gasifiers are still awaiting capital investments before they can be built. Note that most of the plasma trash incineration facilities burn the syngas in gas turbines to generate electricity instead of synthesizing gasoline/diesel. Best to call your recycling service to see if they'll take them but I'm betting that they won't be able to make use of them and all that would happen is that the recyclers would have to pay to dump them in the landfill thereby increasing their operating costs and increasing the fees that they charge for collecting the recyclables.
Q:Can you tell me about microwave safe plastics?
Well I think that the larger issue here is.. will you be able to eat the food that comes from the containers that are not microwaveable. Many food grade plastics are meant for storage and not reheating. Chances are if you select any old plastic tub it could melt before your food even gets hot! As far as I know butter tubs and yogurt containers are NOT microwave safe. Obviously, plastics vary in their chemical composition. What they have in common is that they are formed by chemical reaction. If used with food in a microwave, they must not further react, they must not decompose into the food and they must not leach out components into the food. Using a yogurt container can melt it and therefore leach harmful chemicals into your food as well. Microwave plastic wraps, wax paper, cooking bags, parchment paper, and white microwave-safe paper towels should be safe to use. Never use thin plastic storage bags, brown paper or plastic grocery bags, or aluminum foil in the microwave. In summary, odds are if it doesn't say microwave safe.......... it probably isn't.
Q:Plastic Surgery Essay?
Hello... Pro's And Con's Of Plastic Surgery In America University of Phoenix | The Pro’s and Con’s of Plastic Surgery | Com 150 Effective Essay Writing | Patrice Elliott 11/15/2009 | So many people wonder about plastic surgery. Ranging, from individuals who have been plagued by disease, and need it to feel whole, to those who are vain and want to look different. Cosmetic surgery has come across more people’s minds in this day and age than in any other time in history. Plastic surgery has been viewed as a form of art, in that it can literally make a person appear as someone else. Perhaps renew a confidence you used to have, or give you confidence you never had, but are there risks and are you ready to accept them? Plastic surgery originated in ancient India. It is well documented in Sushruta Samhita (June 2006) by Kaviraj Kunjalal Bhishagratna, “that several types of surgery were performed in the Vedic period about 3500 B.C... You can get more info here:

Q:How to sharpen a plastic knife?

Q:Lost Foam Casting With Plastic?
Any organic material can be used to make a casting mold including twigs, other wood and plastics, as long as it is burned out before the metal solidifies. The problem with using anything other than foam is that foam is mostly air that is surrounded by a small amount of plastic. When the plastic is hit by the hot metal, it burns/gases off without cooling the metal enough to block its flow. For any solid organic material, the investment must be fired/baked to a high enough temperature to turn the material to ash which can be blown into the vents by the flowing metal.
Q:How can plastic fairings on motorcycles be fixed?
It's a nightmare mate, i damaged my 2005 gsxr main fairing, rear section etc when i highsided at the track. I spent a long time looking for companys that could fix it by plastic welding but they were really expensive, especially when you add up the plastic welding, the painting and the decal set to get the panel looking right again. I found the best option to be OKorder, i managed to get a complete new left hand side panel for £75 what a bargain as it costs something like £320 + VAT from Suzuki for a new one and i don't think that it included painting or decals, i also got a rear section for £60. If you need anything else for the bike, let me know as i have quite a few parts lying about the garage. I would give that a try. Good luck!!
