- Q: I have recently purchase a new dining room set and want to protect the surface of the table from scratches, watermarks, etc. I am not looking for a plastic table cloth to cover the table, I am searching for the plastic covering (if you will) that protects the table.
- Most hardware stores will have Lexan. It is a bullet proof plastic( If thick enough 1/4 inch or more) that will protect your table. I would put a good quality paste wax on it first and then set the lexan in place. It is not cheap but it will protect your table for years and it will not yellow as easily as normal plastic.
