Q:I would love to sign up for Boost Mobile's Daily Chat and Text plan, but this question just dawned on me. Do I have to have a new Boost Mobile phone to have their service?I don't care about the walkie-talkie or web surfing, just want to get phone calls and texts. Their prices are right, but don't want to buy a new phone. Thank you for anyone that reads this!

Boost mobile iden/walkie talkie runs on the Nextel iden nationwide network. Their sims can work on any Boost mobile walkie talkie or Nextel phone. Their sims will not work in any other type of phone like Att or Tmobile types. You are pretty much stuck with their lineup. Unless you use Boost cdma. There are TWO Boost mobiles. The Boost cdma is a Boost without walkie talkie or sim on the Sprint network. Sprint owns both Boost mobiles. The good thing about the cdma network is that it is generally faster and more reliable then Boost iden and you can use any Sprint phone after you first activate with a Boost cdma phone then transfer the account to the Sprint phone (You CAN'T open a Boost cdma account with a Sprint phone at the beginning.). Boost cdma recently dropped their prices so that they too have a nationwide $50 unlimited everything plan now. You can buy an older Boost cdma phone, a hot Sprint phone, call 1-877-TLK-MORE , ask for Unlimited by Boost (cdma) ,pay $15 to activate, either port your old number or get a number from the closest area to your area code (they only have phone numbers for thirteen states ). They might say they don't have your state or they need an out of state address. Just give them a Cali or Texas address that you find and port your local number. Boost cdma has better customer service, faster web , faster and more reliable texts and no where near as much dropped phone calls as Boost iden does. Whatever you choose, good luck.

Q:I'm eligible for an upgrade, and I would like to know your opinions on whether I should get the G2, or MyTouch 4G. Before anyone answers, yes I am aware T-Mobile (like many other carriers) may not be as strong in your area, as it is in mine. I'm not looking for any comments about T-Mobile, or how the IPhone is so much better than any of them etcI'm seeking what owners have found as Pro's Con's of each type of phone. Like what's the difference between G2's Stock Android, and MyTouch's adaptation of it. If you are a current owner of either of these phones, you're experiences be they positive or negative. Would be great to read to help me make a choice. Thanks!

I don't live in the US so I don't really know how bad T-Mobile is. I haven't heard of the MyTouch 4G, but I have heard of the G2 (but known as the HTC Desire Z outside of US). I've heard good thigns about the G2, it's a pretty good phone, there aren't really much of a problem with it. The only flaw that some people have reported is that while sliding out the keyboard, the wire that connects the screen to the actual phone becomes exposed and it looks fragile like it would break at some point (the wire is important because if it becomes detached the screen will not work). Although, no one has reported an incident with it. So you should be fine with it. The good thing about it is that it runs on Stock Android meaning that you can update as soon as Google releases a new version of Android. HTC phones are pretty good in terms of quality and I know people with HTC phones so, I'd recommend it.

Q:Hi. I recently got a new phone(LG Dare) and have just tried being on mobile messenger. Is there a way to be on-line/available to one or more of the contacts but shown as off-line to others in the list at the same time. Like what you would do from normal Messenger from the computer. If so how do I appear online while using Messenger to only those that I select as being available? Thanks in advance.

It's a good phone, I have it myself. You can put episodes of your favorite tv show on it, and watch it. You can put Twitter on it. It has a Opera Browser (free Internet) its really good for texting good quality pictures Instant messaging I would definitly recemend this phone!
