- Bed bugs live in the bed. Doesn't matter what kind of mattress. They can get in your clothes as well. Leaving the lights on at night doesn't make a difference. If you have bed bugs you have bed bugs. You have to throw out the mattress, call a professional cleaning service and ask to come clean the room (bugs can not be vacuumed. You have to call a cleaning service). You have to take your clothes and get all of them steam pressed. Washer and dryer does not get rid of bed bugs. It is a messy clean up. Get on it before they get worse. And no, you can't drown them.

- For my 2 roborovski hamsters I use cotton wool bought from cosmetic stores because it's alot cheaper and you get more for your money. You could also rip up toilet paper or dish cloths and socks. EDIT: Sorry I thought you meant bedding for your hamsters to sleep in. Any type of paper would do. Just shread it up into strips and put it in. For my mouse I used to use newspaper and spend a while cutting up to fill a plastic bag so I would use the other half for the next clean up.

- steam cleaning, like with a steam shark, or similar product? no. bed bugs are very vulnerable to extreme temperatures, but the entire area would have to be subjected to those conditions. they had something on tv about it not too long ago, the exterminators set the houses thermostat to max, and added additional heat blowers throughout the house and kept the house at like 110 degrees for several hours to kill them, otherwise they will just flee as you clean and go to an area you already steamed Edit: cold will also work, but with summer coming i would think it would be easier to heat then cool :P

- Q: Hey everyone. My daughter turned 2 in September, and she's been having some sleeping issues. She has always slept in her own crib, but lately she doesn't want to sleep in it. She would rather sleep on our couch! LOL It makes me think she is ready for a change. So my husband and I were thinking about getting her a Disney Princess Toddler Bed for Christmas. I showed it to her, and she loved it. I think this will be the best decision for her since she is so petite, and I really don't think she is quite ready for a twin bed. Also, where we are currently living, her room is kinda on the small side. But I have a lot of people telling me it's pointless to buy a toddler bed since in a few years she will need a twin. I think it's best to get her a smaller bed for now and try to get her back to sleeping good in her room and then later on get a twin bed. What do you think? Thanks is advance for all of your help!! - i personally find toddler beds to be a complete waste of money, why spend hundreds on a bed that shell use for a year, two years tops, and then youll have to buy a whole new bed. instead, i would get a twin bed and put rails on it until im sure that she wont fall out and shes big enough to take the fall.
