And is it really cheaper to buy it there? THX: Yes, its cheaper for you to buy phone in Malaysia and Taiwan, where Malaysia is approx. 10 to 20% cheaper than in Taiwan. Your phone should work with any sim-card, including your sim-card from T-Mobile. But for that, you have to purchase a phone without any telco contract and you have to buy from indepedent phone sellers at their shops and its easy to find in Malaysia and less so in Taiwan. As for whether it will work in Czech Republic, you should consult T-mobile and not the handphone seller, cause its more towards the service provider on its roaming network connectivity, rather than the connectivity of the mobile phone. Consult T-Mobile for more detail about it.

You can have phone checked to see if its a manufacturers defect then you can request from a replacement. If you have coverage for insurance you can also order replacement but usally there is a deductible that you would need to pay so you can get a replacement. And a)that saves you money and b) it saves your minuets. The major con to the Cingular Go Phones is that they dont have the latest and greatest phones. Virgin mobile has some pretty neat ones. They are both easy to set up, and if you go into any RadioShack they will more than likely offer to set them up for you. If you are pursuing the warranty replacement route, then you are stuck with another Optimus V, and they do not offer discounts on replacement phones. I would agree that the Optimus V is not a good phone, but when you look at how cheap that Virgim Mobile is, you can see how they cannot offer higher quality phones (basically it will be costly enough that it will cost them customers, as they typically want things on the cheap.). At least the phones that Virgin Mobile offers are better quality than those that Straight Talk offers (around 1 in 5 Straight Talk phones are defective).
