- Q: I had some black hair dye accidentally get on my bathroom vanity top. The vanity top is white not marble not granite not sure the material. The apartment is very new everything is pretty high end so it may be marble but the color is white. I put bleach on the stain to remove it but it turned it a light green color? Should I try more bleach? Or just hire a professional cleaner to try and remove the mess?has anyone experienced this? - I recently had a similar problem, and I did the same thing cats 3 recommended. I used baking soda and a good sponge, and it scrubbed out 99.9% of the stain. It was someone else's bathroom counter, so it saved my hyde from getting in trouble. Baking soda or toothpaste can do wonders!
- Q: I am remodeling my master bathroom and I have already ripped out the old vanity and I'm about to put in the new one. The old vanity and top appeared to be of normal length (60'/61'), like the new pair I picked up at OKorders (I did a quick measure and it looked close, so I assumed it was of standard size). However, the geniuses who built my home built the space for the vanity (between a regular wall and a half-wall beside the toilet) exactly 60' wide. So while the vanity will squeeze in, the vanity top won't. I am thinking I will have to end up removing the half-wall, but I want to do as little work as possible. Is there a way to shave an inch off the wall? Anybody think of any ideas? BTW, the vanity top is a marble top, so I doubt I can shave an inch off that.....Thanks in advance.
- if this is my bathroom i will just cut the drywall on the both sides of the vanity and slide the granite top in or you can call a company that install granite and they can cut it for you for extra $50-60
