Q:I keep reading online that pets cannot carry bed bugs, however in our home that doesnt seem the case.I have ONLY spotted bed bugs on my dog and on her bed and couch. I have been trying to battle this pesky insect for a bit now, but haven't ever thought of the dog being the problem. She is a boxer, so the bugs are easy to spot on her and I can tell she has been itching recently.I now wash my sheets on a daily basis and replaced my mattress with the scare. But I have not had one bed bug ever in my room, nor a bite on me.

Dogs dont carry bed bugs,if u have bed bugs in ur house they can get on ur pets and bite them but they dont stay there n live on ur dog. Ur most likely seeing ticks on ur dog and if this is the case u needa get rid of them ASAP as ticks (and fleas) carry diseases that can be passed to ur pets. Bed bugs in a home are VERY hard to get rid of,so if it is bed bugs then ur ****** lol.

First ensure that yo do have bed bugs and not bed mites. Bed mites can also cause an allergic reaction and are often mistaken as bed bugs. To kill bed mites and bed bugs you have a few options. Firstly you can wash your bedding in hot water, at least 130 Fahrenheit, this will kill them. Another method is to actually put your bedding in a freezer for a day or two. The extreme cold will also kill them. If you want a more hands on solution then an over the counter product will be able to help you. 100% Alcohol kills bedbugs and their eggs. You can get bedbugs sprays containing alcohol over the counter from most stores. Wal-Mart has a good bedbug spray available and you can also try Kleen Free Naturally for an organic no-toxic solution. So I was thinking of getting a twin bed.I want to be able to store things under the new bed..Like, a small chest, Boxes, and what not..And I can't do that with a standard bed that's less thana foot off the ground. v_vAre there any type of Raised Beds out there?Like.. 3 feet or higher off the ground?Links, brands, and prices are greatly appreciated. Bed bugs may well be in your entire house. You need to call in an exterminator. Bed bugs are very hard to get rid of. Even an exterminator will likely have to do multiple treatments.

Q:I am pregnant and He will need to go to a toddler or twin bed at 20 months. I already have a twin bed and I could but rails for it. I could also buy a toddler bed but would like to save money if possible. I am not trying to be cheap!! What should I do? Is a twin bed going to be to high off the ground for him?

What you could possibly do is take the bed off the metal frame and only use the box spring and mattress until he is a little older. And make sure two sides of the bed are to a wall, the head of the bed and one of the sides. When you put him to bed lay him closest to the wall so he has a smaller chance of rolling off the bed. Most toddler beds also have something on the end of it. I do not really see the need for it, but if you want put like a toybox or a bench at the end of the bed to give you more of the same effect. My mom actually just put us straight into a twin bed, metal frame and all. Yeah it was high, but we had a stool near the bed to help us climb up and down, and we knew not to roll off the bed. She actually put pillows on the floor near the bed for the first week or so, incase we did decide to roll off the bed so we would see how much it hurt, without getting hurt.

Bed bugs will get in walls and in things during the day and come out during the night. They can go a year with out eating.

Q:My boyfriend has two 3 yr old boys. They come to our house once a month. We would like to buy them beds. Would you get toddler beds or would you get bunk beds? My boyfriend is concerned about bunk beds, he doesn't want them sleeping up high. But I think they could both sleep on the bottom for a while but he doesn't want them to sleep in the same bed because they move around alot a night. What would you do?

I think you can get bunk beds that seperate into two beds. That way you could have them as two regular beds now, and you could change them to a bunk bed when they get older and need more space to move around. I wouldn't bother with toddler beds. I think those are a money making scheme. Regular height beds are just fine.
