Q: I got my scaffold/industrial piercing today..about 4 or 5 hours ago and The glands in my neck are now swollen pretty bad..I usually suffer with swollen glands but not this much..is this from the piercing?? Is it dangerous? Also my ear still stings is that normal?Thanks in advance: Gosh Industrial do harm I'm now not going to lie. Cartilage piercings do not harm. But industrials are quite tough to handle. If you'll be able to manage affliction then get it. They're valued at it however they do harm.

Q: Mine has passed the healing date and i have had another one put in it's been over 2 months since i had it done...but there is still some swelling on the top half of the ear that is pierced...will it go down eventually or is there something wrong with it?: it will eventually go down. industrials can take up to a year to heal. don't worry about it.

I don't mind pain, but soon as it was in an unusual place, I was just a little bit curious.: it wont hurt anymore than the piercing you already have probable, buuuut the long bar makes it easier to catch it and irritate the piercing, so just be careful, and youll be okay!

Q: I've been wanting an industrial piercing for quite a while now, and thankfully I convinced my parents to let me get it done about two weeks ago. We were on vacation in Florida last week and my mom said I could get it done there if I wanted, so we went into a tattoo shop and asked about it. They told me something I'd never heard before, that they would pierce the holes with hoops and in about a month I could put the barbell in. The piercers told me it would heal a lot easier this way and if the barbell was put in right away I'd end up taking it out because of the pain. This makes sense of course, but I have NEVER heard of it being pierced this way, and once the holes heal, won't they be off in aligning the bar with the piercings, causing me even more pain?They told me if I get it pierced in my home town to tell the piercer to do it the way they suggested but I'm not sure at all. I could take the pain if that was the only issue, but if it would heal better.. I'm not sure. Help? Thanks!: i have a friend who got that done, and i am also wanting to get that done. she says it was a smart move to put the hoops in, and then the barbell, because it does reduce a lot of the pain. anyway, about the healing better, i didn't know that, but if that is the case, better safe than sorry.
