Q: mechanic technician who can weld or bachelors in engineering? Or probably both right? I am a guy who is really into the hands on building of machinery, but I want to actually have a role in designing as well. I am really debating on going back to school for engineering or mechanics/welding. I am 34, work full time, and would only be able to go to school part time. I really want to get into a field where I am building, designing, and testing new machinery. HELP!!!
You really should finish an Mechanical Engineers degree. If you don't do it now, you'll just wish you had in 5 years and by then you'd likely be done. All of the things you describe will require an engineering degree. Oh, BTW, ME's can make about 2-3X what a welder does. Astrobuf
Q: I'll concede that Micro Machines have been proven. We've all seen the commercial with that fast-talking guy, but nobody has ever been able to talk slowly enough to prove Macro Machines to me.
I'm a machine, you're a machine Everybody that you know You know, they are machines. To keep your engine running you need energy For your high-powered, revved-up body machine. Your high-powered, revved-up body machine. ; )
Q: ... to get Peter off the couch to go for a walk?
a fork lift
Q: What is the huge machine that they use to load and/or dirt when digging huge projects. It has wheels that are over 4 feet tall. It's sole purpose is to transport the excavated dirt/rocks. Your help is appreciated.
They are usually called Haul Trucks. Typical capacity is 150 - 350 tons.
Q: We found this little shed right outside Virginia City, NV.Inside was this old machinery.. it was probably used for mining.
Yep, it looks like a winch to me too. I see a second drum, so perhaps it was a winch that could pull a cable in two directions, with the cable looped around a pulley at some distant point and being wound onto one of the drums as it is unwound from the other. (hard to see the gearing, etc., from that image). As for age, that electric motor looks like it's about 100 years old! (just a wild guess, of course)
Q: I mean, if you have only one bag, I'm wondering if you sayMy luggage is over there. or sth.thank you!!
I always associate words such as luggage, baggage, furniture and machinery as being MORE THAN ONE of its individual. For example, I would say there is only one machine, but if there is more than one machine, then I would refer to it as machinery. Similarly, if there is more than one bag, then I would refer to it as luggage and, similarly again, if there is a chair, table, couch and bed in one room then I would call it furniture. In more direct answer to your question, if there is only one bag I would just say My bag is over there. Hope this helped.
Q: Cost of construction machinery use fee
Repairs: refers to construction machinery in accordance with the provisions of the repair interval shift necessary repair, to restore the normal function of the cost. Shift repairs (= a repairs overhaul X times) the total number of classes often 83019 durable repairs: refers to all levels of construction machinery repair maintenance in addition to outside and temporary troubleshooting costs.
Q: People who restore old machinery sometimes place rusty items in a large barrel of molasses, the syrup from cane sugar for several months. Explain why they do this?!
Molasses contain glucose, which just so happens to be what's called a 'reducing sugar', that is, it's got an aldehyde group as part of the molecule, and this can lets it act as a reducing agent. Rust, on the other hand, is a sign of iron being oxidised, and makes it difficult to use whatever tool it is that's been rusted. To combat this then, putting rusted tools in molasses for a while lets the glucose get to work reversing the oxidation process and effectively 'un-rusting' the iron, going some way to getting the items back to their former glory.
Q: Engineering engines use those engines as power!
Most of the Weichai engine engineering machine loader, has used the example of D6114, Xugong roller by D6114, also yuchai. The paver is the most widely used DEUTZ engine.
Q: *I have a garden shredder. If I wish to dismantle it (say when it jams) I find I cannot unfasten the screws, because they are of a strange type At the lip of the recess in the head the shape is hexagonal but this develops into a hemisphere within a short distance. What is this type of screw called and where to I get the tool which will offer purchase on the screws?
If you are describing an allen head screw that has a bump in the middle of the hole to keep you from inserting a standard allen wrench, these are called tamper proof screws (as the generic name for many different designs). You can purchase a set o bits that cover many of these designs. (typical link below). Making sure you get the right kind and size in a set is the hard part, unless you can find a set at a hardware store. -- Regards, John Popelish
