- Q: wont light up
- Operate your turn signal, if it works it's not the bulb or fuse or wiring. Turn on headlites see if tail lights burn. If turn signals work then the brake lite switch is bad, should be located on or near master cylinder. If tail lites are out and turn signal out it is a fuse..
- Q: light waves
- Light waves are periodic functions like sine or cosine. They have an amplitude and wavelength within their period, or time that they go from their topmost peak, down, then up again, or vise versa.
- Q: how to make custom fluorescent light fixture for black lights
- Black lights get much hotter than regular fluorescent bulbs. And like regular fluorescents, they need a grounded metal surface to be close to the full length of the bulb. Together, these mean the fixture housing should be in metal. So, unless you have the capabilities to make the fixture out of sheet metal, I would recommend that you buy a cheap, regular fluorescent fixture and swap out the a ballast and/or tombstones as needed to drive the black light tube you have purchased.

- Light doesn't travel faster than light. That aside: 187000 mi/sec * 5280 ft/mi = Xxxx ft/sec Xxxx/1087 = ?? You do the math.
- Q: Do plant growing lights usually consume more energy?
- It depends on the kind of light bulb. Flouescent grow lights are very efficient. They are very bright, but only around 24-40 watts or so. However, if you are referring to high-intesity discharge lighting (HIDs), then yes, they are 250-1000 watts and require a specific ballast. They do consume more energy than your regular home lights.
- Q: If I wanted to put a lighting gel in a 3 point lighting setup (for an interview), do I put a colored gel on all 3 lights, or just one light (key light maybe?)Thanks!
- I agree with Screwdriver. There is just no real reason to use a gel except for perhaps a contrasting background color, but that needs to be thoughtfully considered. You would not want a gelled red background with a lady with red hair, or a blue background with someone with a blue shirt. Personally, I think you should forget the gels and concentrate of having the light and camera white balance temps matching and proper lighting position and exposure. steve
