- Stressing about something whether good or bad can cause a period to be lighter (an example only). Also, sometimes changes in diet or exercise can affect a period causing it to be lighter (another example only). I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

Absolute zero = -273 degrees Celcius Edit: Wait that was a dumb thing for me to say... because if light were actually -273 degrees we would all be frozen to death. - As you have stated light still flickers I am assuming it flickered before you worked on it. In fact, that's the reason you replaced the switch and fixture. Am I right? If so and you are using the old bulb, replace it. But I'm thinking you have already done that. Right? So then the original problem is still there. You must have a loose connection somewhere between that switch and the panel. Turn off the power to that circuit and open boxes one at a time checking and tightening all connections. You will surely find one or more before the problem finally goes away. Be careful, and good luck.

You can create your own mood lighting by experimenting with levels of light, angles, and even colors. Try angling the light from behind the subject and see what that does. Try having light coming down from above. Try a pitch black room with a single low light source on the subject. Etc etc etc. Just play around and have fun!
