- Q: An off duty Spiderman has suctioned himself to trimp tower! might be a sniper, think the fire department should blast him down with a hose?
- Do you see where a battery might go? It sounds like it is hard wired into the house. Check all the other smoke detectors in the house, if one has a better and it's dead, every detector in the house will beep. If the smoke detectors are only hardwired, and have no battery, do yourself and family a favor and buy a few battery powered detectors. In the event of a fire, if the power goes out the detectors will not work. That is why new detectors that are hardwired also have a battery back up.
- Q: I know how to ride a bike, but I do not know anything about them. I was wondering what is the best bike when it comes to commuting. I'll be commuting two miles to work, and two miles from work. Like I said I am new when it comes to bicycles. If possible a fold up bike would also be a great option. I live in a small apartment.
- Someone may have installed the alarm incorrectly. Make sure that the alarm wasent aftermarket. My 2002 Honda Civic EX has an aftermarket alarm system that freaked one day so that any button on the remote that I push caused the panic alarm to go off. Even the key in the door caused it to go off and the car wouldn't start so I would make sure to get your alarm looked at. Contact your closest Subaru dealer for details on how to fix it and explain your problem. If they cant figure it out you may want to take it to them to have it looked at. It may be faulty wiring. My lights flash when I push the lock button so I dont exactly understand. If you want to fix the problem on your own I suggest ordering a book from the company of Chilton or Haynes. They have a complete manual that explains everything from the wiring to the engine and interior. Good Luck. Hope you can get your Subaru fixed. : p

- Let verify something here: If the dome light inside the vehicle still lit after all of the doors are shut then there is a good chance that one of the door switch is defected. The hood switch is the one that built into the hood latch assembly in most car.. The sensitivity of the alarm need to be adjusted. The motion detect sensor which apply to many late model vehicle need to be checked. and many more things would be the cause to trigger the Factory alarm system. After market alarm tend to do this a lot when getting old. Get the problem look at by professional, they have the knowledge and tooling to diagnose your complain. It's out of your capability .. Good luck to you.

- Q: I have a halon fire extinguisher. I notice on hot days that the pressure gauge is higher than it is on cold days. Just wondering why this happens. Thanks!
- If you open it before hand then the alarm system will not be able to be turned on. You could also try to locate the sensor and bypass it with a magnet, or shorting the wired together. A lot depends on the alarm system and how it is set up, and what type of sensors you have in the first place. Ate you even sure the window is on the alarm in the first place? Try opening it and going to the keypad and see what it tells you.

- Q: we use a warming blanket along with another. Where should the warming one be placed? Over the other or next to the sheet.
- It sounds like it might really be overheating under some conditions, but possibly not when it's sitting in the garage at Firestone. I'm concerned about the history of a heater core problem and the fact that you apparently lost coolant. Worst case possibility - it lost coolant through the heater core, previous owner allowed it to overheat and ended up with blown head gaskets or head damage. That would cause a continuing loss of coolant. Hopefully it's just a leak and not the above. If it is losing coolant, that needs to be tracked down and solved. Rather than hoping the shop checks it at the right time, I'd buy an infrared thermometer of your own. They aren't too expensive and come in handy sometimes. Not sure if you can get them quickly/locally though. Use it to verify the temperature at various points when your gauge is reading high. The radiator should be as hot as the engine side of the system, if it's much cooler you have a flow problem. The one I have is a Raytek MT6, no complaints with it. The MT4 is cheaper ($40 on ) and probably works just as well for coolant temperatures. It does sound like your truck has electrical issues and that could be a factor with the temperature gauge, but those issues sound intermittent, not like what you're temperature gauge is doing. Overheating isn't something to be trifled with so I'd make really sure. You don't want to end up with more serious damage happening.
- Q: my parents let me play paint ball and everything and let me do airsoft at a friends house but they wont let me buy one because they say that i dont have a place to use it AT MY HOUSE. they say they dont want neighbors to see me using it because our backyard can easially be see any ways to convince them?
- Security systems can be non-monitored (in my biased opinion this is abit risky), however if you do want to have the system notify the authorities some method of communication is required. These can include IP, Cellular, or long range radio. Most alarm companies have this available to them, ask around. Ip can be a bit more on the risky side as you are reliant on power for the router and modem. Of course you could always have that on battery back-up. VOIP is far from reliable as signals sometimes get cropped. For cellular back-up I like Uplink, however DSC and Ademco have their own versions. I have written a number of articles on security related topics which can be found on my website at . If you are looking at purchasing a security system, the information may be of help. I hope this helped Heinz
