Q:This sounds kind of strange though.They said I should receive the certificate in about 4 or 5 days.Has anyone had this happen to them also?and is it for real?I know I shouldnt fall for anything like this.But one thing I did tell them was that Im not giving my information or credit card info.out.She said no credit card is needed.Sounds eerie huh?

I actually just had the same thing happen to me. They called and had my name, and address. But then they asked me survey questions like What type of job do I work act, how long have I worked there, Do I rent or own, How have I lived here and My birthdate. Then they told me that I had won a drawing for a $1000 shopping spree, and I had also won 3 free subscriptions to magizines that would be free for 60 months, and after that I would pay $3.75 a week for as long as I would receive the subscriptions. They would send me a thing in the mail with over 150 different magizine publications to choose from. I would recieve my card with the $1000 on it in 4-5 along with the information for the magizines and that I'd recieve the magazines in 6-8 weeks. Through all of the I was never told that I would have to pay anything on the phone, and that I could pay by credit card, money orders, or check....for what though? They never said. Then they had the supervisor get on the phone, who would further explain and finish up the phone call, but when she got on the phone and wanted my credit card information to pay for the intial payment. Which I was told in the first place they wouldn't need any information over the phone. So I told them I didn't have my card available and I've been trying to find info on them ever sence. I just thought with the survey questions they asked, if they got my credit card info I had they could easily apply for loans, and more credit cards.

Q:So, my vegetable garden is finally dying because it's getting colder. I feel kind of sad because I didn't utilize it much. A lot of good crops went bad and were wasted. Also, I had a hard time keeping pests away and preventing my squash plants from rotting. Anyone have any tips to share that I can keep in mind for next year as far as utilization and pest/mildew control while keeping everything organic?

get out in the garden at least once a day and look at the plants and hand pick any bugs you find (I do this on several acres so anyone should be able to do this in a much smaller home garden), Mulches will keep moisture in the soil, prevent lot of soil born diseases and keep the weeds down. You will never succeed in keeping pests away unless you completely enclose your garden in a dome or something (and even than there will be things like aphids) but if you learn how to encourge beneficial insects and other critters into your yard you will have fewer and fewer problems with pests over the years. Know that it takes 7 to 15 years to get an Organic garden balanced and where it should be. So over time as you learn what you are doing, your soil gets healthy and you eco-system in better balance your pest and disease problems will go way down and your yields way up. A milk water solution works very well on Powder mildew but does have to be sprayed daily for at least a week.

Q:If you read my last question you will know I was asking about a bin cage, well I found something that wouldn't take up as much room and would still provide lots of room. I was looking into tank toppers. They are cages that sit on top of an aquarium.......i would get a 10 gal. tank topper. I found one that is fall proof, so the hamster cannot fall far distances and hurt itself..... i looked at every part and it is impossible for the hamster to fall a far distance. So my question is, do you think I should get one of these tank toppers and buy a 10 gal. tank, should I make a bin cage, or should I just buy a cage from petsmart or petsuppliesplus?

Q:Mine is an old Victorian home out in the country. 5 bed rooms, 3 bathrooms, hardwood floors and a fireplace. I'd turn the basement into an entertainment area (I have this thoroughly planned out) big drop down screen for an in home theater and also a wet bar. Q:home & garden. Is it ok to use lawn grass clippings as mulch in a vegetable garden?

Grass clippings are all I use in my vegetable garden. I add them throughout the summer and they compost in place. My soil is terrific, with very little effort. Just make sure that you don't turn green clippings in to your soil as that depletes available nitrogen. Once they're dry it's fine. I have a very weedy lawn but haven't had much trouble with weeds in the garden at all. Straw does work great too but the years that I used hay I was overrun with clover. Between that and the fact that grass clippings are free it was a clear choice for me!
