Good advice from Ang. Fertilome makes a product called Root Stimulator instructions for mixing on the package. Any time you plant or transplant water them in with a good drink of stim. Prevents shock.

There are several ways. I do it by scoring the turf with my shovel and then digging it up in squares. I dump on bagged topsoil mixed with my compost and then plant away! I use the turf to build walls and berms in other areas of my yard, or I compost it. I have also done another method where I layered wet newspaper, bagged composted cow manure and bark mulch, right on top of the grass, covered it with dark plastic and left it for one year. It made a beautiful 4 X 13 foot flowerbed and that's where I grow my roses.

Q:Our new home have around 300 sqft area. I am planning to use it all for vegetable garden. But I don't have much experience in it. Previous owner had two dogs and I see lot of dog poop around the house so I am planning to remove half ft soil from that area. I will be composting in house. Bokashi and vermi compost. Please give me information about what I should add to soil in addition to compost. Things which are easily available in stores for cheap are better. Are their any special stores for gardeners in USA? Set aside about a 6 foot square area for a compost bin. For the rest of your garden mix in sand, peat moss, and cow manure. You can also add some lime. Roto-till this into the top 6 inches of soil. I cannot tell you the correct amounts since I don't know what your soil is like now. My garden is 8 by 16 feet. Every year I add 2 five gallon buckets of sand, one large bale of peat, and two 40 pound bags of manure. I hope this helps you figure out what you need. In the fall I till in leaves and grass to decompose over the winter.

Q:I just got him 3 days ago. I feed him at 7am and then take him out for 15-20 minutes to potty, at 10am i leave to work and leave a little bit of food and water. I work from 10am-6pm (2-3 days a week), and i can't come by at lunch. My neighbor has agreed to check up on him, but not i'm not sure if at 12 or 1. He's already peed and pooped all over the living room and i know that's normal for a puppy because they can't hold it too long.Around 6:30-7pm i feed him again and then take him outside for another 15-20 minutes. I noticed that he doesn't like to be on the sidewalk and is usually messing around where ever there is grass. My question is when i'm home, How many times should i take my puppy out when i'm home? Is there a general rule? Is 15-20 minutes enough for the puppy? I don't have a backyard, it only a small area for him to walk on concrete but the front has a small grass area.Thanks.

puppies generally need to go outside every hour when awake.. if he's pottied on your carpet, its because you are not getting him out often enough. I personally wouldnt leave him crated more than 3-4 hours without a potty break. 1pm would probably be better than 12, so he doesnt have such a long stretch to hold it before you come home. walk him 10-15 mins, dont let him play around, gently tug on his leash and remind him to go. If he plays around too much, take him in and crate him for 10-15 mins then try again. Praise when he does go. Dont let him play around until he's done his buisiness.. he needs to learn that outside is for potty buisiness first. Do allow him some play time after he's finished.

Thank you. Unfortunatly what does well for you in New York or Denver isn't much help to me where I live down here by the Mexican boarder in California. The best source of information that is free is your local extension service. Extension services are divided by county. If you visit the California website for extension you can that be sent to your county website. Then click on links for gardening/master gardener. Here in Ohio they put on many clinics and will answer any questions you may have.

MSG didn't get the title of being the home of wrestling just because of the first Wrestlemania. Madison Square Garden was the home of the WWF and the WWWF during the territory days. It has hosted more wrestling events than any other arena. So many big events have happened there. Bruno Sammartino won and lost his first WWWF Championship at MSG. Bob Backlund won the title at MSG when it was renamed as the WWF Championship. Hulkamania was born at MSG when Hogan pinned the Iron Sheik for the WWF Title. MSG was where Jimmy Snuka leaped from the top of the cage. Like you said, Wrestlemania I took place at MSG, as did Wrestlemania 10 and 20 (which is my favorite Wrestlemania). MSG saw the first PPV ladder match in WWF history as well as the first ever Elimination Chamber. It saw Triple H vs. Cactus Jack in a Street Fight at Royal Rumble 2000. It saw John Cena's shocking return at Royal Rumble 2008. MSG is the home of wrestling because it has seen more historic wrestling events than any other arena in the world.
