The main application of electrolytic manganese metal flakes:
Manganese is an important alloying agent. It is added to improve the strength, toughness, stiffness, hardness, wear resistance, and hardenability of steels. Together with aluminum and antimony, especially in the presence of copper, it forms highly ferromagnetic alloys. Manganese dioxide is used as a depolarizer in dry cells and as a decolorizing agent for glass that has been colored green due to iron impurities. The dioxide is also used in drying black paints and in the preparation of oxygen and chlorine. Manganese colors glass an amethyst color and is the coloring agent in natural amethyst. The permanganate is used as an oxidizing agent and is useful for qualitative analysis and in medicine. Manganese is an important trace element in nutrition, although exposure to the element is toxic in higher quantities.
Introduction
Electrolytic manganese metal flake is with silver gray metallic luster, hard and crisp, melting point 1245, boilling point 1962, with strong oxidation-reduction capacity. Specific gravity is 7.2. In comparison with metal manganese made by elctric warming, the electrogenerated mental manganese is of higher purity, superior quality and wider application.

- you mean hardest, like you're testing with a rockwell tester? i'll assume you mean pure elements, so a compressed sample of tungsten would be quite hard. as to resistivity to corrosion, all metals can be affected by acid, I would guess that the more electronegative the metal was, the more resistance it would have to corrosion. the earth and alkalai earth metals react violently, and support this assumption. good luck hold up i just checked my materials engineering textbook, and it said that gold and platinum were the hardest metals to corrode. if you've done any chemistry, you'll know that gold will accept electrons from most other elements, and is actually more cathodic than water. (meaning that it will not (unforced) dissociate into water.

- Q: i have been listening to metal for a few years but i still feel like there are a lot of bands i'm missing out on. currently i'm listening to bands like finntroll,sepultura, amon amarth and blood shot dawn. i'm not a huge fan of black metal but i don't listen to to that much so maybe a few black metal bands for beginners would be nice also i'm not really interested in any core bands especially grindcore. - 1. Which is hotter, the air inside your oven, or the metal inside? Since the metal is way hotter, it conducts heat better. 2. I'm guessing that is a metallic trait. Do gases even melt? lol 3. Dull/brittle sounds like a metalloid to me. If that's not an option, I would stick with metal. 4. Metals usually react with stuff on the opposite side of the periodic table....which are usually non-metals (aka ionic compound). I'm a little rusty at this stuff, but I think those are right.
