Description of Chopped Strand

Chopped Strands for BMC are compatible with unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin and phenolic resins.

The end-use applications include transportation, building & construction, electronic & electrical, mechanical, and light industry.

Main Features of Chopped Strand

1.Good strand integrity, low static and good flowability;
2.Good bonding with resins insuring excellent surface of the end products;
3.Good processing and excellent mechanical properties.

Special need can be custom-made according to customers’ requirements like the
cut length and preference for the yarn or roving brand for chopping.

Packaging Way:

Chopped Strands can be packed in bulk bags and composite plastic woven bags;
Bulk bags can hold 500kg~1000kg each; 1-2 bags on a pallet;

Composite plastic woven bags can hold 15kg~25kg each.
Our exported chopped strands usually adopt 25kg/bag and 80 bags on a pallet.
10 pallets for a 20FCL. Loading quantity:20 tons.
Considering the limited weight at some customers’ destination port and highway,
appropriate adjustments can be made.

Storage：
Unless otherwise specified, fiberglass products should be stored in a dry, cool and
rain-proof area. It is recommended that the room temperature and humidity should be
always maintained at 15-350C,35%-65% respectively.
