- Q: Okay so i got a ticket last week for being parked in a fire lane.(keep in mind i live in California) I've had several people tell me as long as i am able to move my vehicle that's what i am supposed to do if asked. Is there any way i can get out of this ticket?
- Obviously you need 'More Blanket.' [Tim Taylor, Home Improvement.] You'll need to attach the blankets together, that means lots of clothespins. You'll need more chairs/supports around the outer edge. Because the tent area is now very large, the blankets will sag more and you'll need internal support. Maybe a few chairs or a few sticks about that height. Lights? Xmas is over go raid the Xmas decorations box. ;) That part though I really recommend that you as your parents because it's vaguely possible to create a fire hazard with anything electric.
- Q: Our road is about 1/3 of a mile long, and is a straight road. The speed limit on this road is 25 m.p.h., yet some seem to think it's a drag strip and will do 55-60 m.p.h. on it. - This is a VERY common concern as it is a VERY common thing. Most gas furnaces and many forms of electric heating sources have components that get hot enough to ignite dust particles that have settled on them while not in use. During the colder months, these surfaces heat up frequently enough that appreciable amounts of dust can't build up enough to be noticeable. However, when you are heating for the first time since last spring, there is a large buildup to burn off. In almost no circumstance is there enough combustible material enough to be of any concern beyond that it is stinky and annoying. Carbon monoxide should not be any concern. If it makes you feel more comfortable, open a few windows for a short time to help reduce the smell. Once your heating system has some hours on it the smell will disappear. Until next fall that is

- Eartha Q has it all figured out! The only time I have a fire inside is when I'm sleeping in this one cave I know of (this gets warm really quick!). I have also stayed in a teepee before with a fire, but if you build it out of tarps it will be flammable. For a teepee you would need leather or canvas. Warm stones are great, but they don't stay warm all night. They just help you get to sleep. Bring tons and tons of blankets if you don't have the proper sleeping bags.
- Q: Theres a problem with the smoke detectors in my house. For some reason, they all go off simultaneously without any reason at all. I know its not the batteries because the chances of that are slim, and they all go off in segments. They will all go off for like 1.5 seconds, then stop. Then come on 3-4 seconds later again for a little while then stop again. This process repeats constantly and is very annoying. What problems could cause this? Also, would little animals chewing on the wiring cause this problem? because i think we have squirrels in the roof.
- Well, yes it can, but it will be pretty hard harnessing it! In fact, one bolt of lightning can power at least a country but no one has figured out a way of harnessing the power. Hopefully, in the next couple of years someone will do it. It they can manage that, we'll no longer have to rely on oil, gas, etc. Perhaps you will be the first? :)
- Q: I recently put epoxy-resin over a table top and still (after a few months) have sticky patches that I CANNOT get to cure, have tried heating, acetone, etc. If they are not too deep, can I just put a new layer of resin over it and hope for it that to harden on top? Any other solutions?
- A restore would be a good idea. Copy your data to an external USB drive or whatever, then either run a restore CD or if you are using a windows CD, delete your partition during the install process and then re-create it to be sure that your hard drive is completely wiped clean. Once you are up and running, run windows update several times until no further critical updates show up, ensure you have anti-virus software and that it is up to date, use anti-spyware software and keep it up to date, and be careful when browsing to help avoid these problems. Perform regular scans of your hard drive using your anti-virus/spyware software.
- Q: worked as a sales assistant yesterday in a crappy bookstore with horrible pay. i did what assigned promptly and did not even take any break for 6 hours. she asked me to continue with my job of cutting paper tomorow, as it was already 8pm ( which is the time that i am supposed to work to). when i went to her to collect my daily pay, she underpaid me. she had promised me $5 /hr but she paid me only $4.50 /hr. when i asked her the reason why, she says because i was on probation. so i said fine i shall accept the lower pay.the weird thing was after she gave me the pay, she started saying that i am not suited for the job and i do not need to continue.so angry that she asked me to work again but fired me later?i did not raise or talk rudely to her at all, in fact we were chatting quite nicely the entire day until she fired me for no reason
- Slowly if they have to go over them at all. Or is your question more about the suspension and the comfort of the passengers? If so, unknown since it would matter which manufacturer. But generally they are high dollar cars with some thought put into suspension, so the passengers would probably not notice.
- Q: It's been too long since they were last mentioned, but..The old lady in this library keeps eyeing my Lint-Roller and Rubber Ducky, and now she's just put some Barry White music on.I really think I am in trouble here - suggestions?
