Q:Can someone please show me how to do this problem? Sorry so longOne ten minute shower using a restricted-flow shower head (2.5 gal/min) requires 25 gal of water, and it has been estimated that each person uses about 60 gal a day. Calculate the volume of cation-exchange resin (in L) that would be required to remove all the water hardness in the water used by one person in 30 days at 60 gal/day. Assume that the exchange capacity of the resin is 1.7 meq/mL of resin and that the water hardness is equivalent to 200 mg CaCO3/L
The pressure in the tyre is directly proportional to the temperature of the air. Put simply, if the temperature increases (which will happen during an hours drive) then the pressure will also increase. Note that to calculate values the temperature must be in kelvin (0 kelvin 273 degrees celsius). You would then use P1/T1 P2/T2.
Q:question above, just wondering because ill be more then happy to take what they dont want :) thanks
Hot air balloons work by creating a differential in density of air between that inside the balloon and out side the balloon. Air inside is heated and becomes less dense. The difference in density applied across the volume of the balloon is the buoyant force that lifts the balloon. If balloons are launched in early morning when the air is cool and calm it is easier to obtain a delta in air density. In other words its easier to fly a balloon with less heat when the air is cooler. Using solar certainly could warm the balloon for example using black Mylar to absorb sunlight and generate heat. The use of mirrors or other colector would add weight to the balloon negating the gain or ground based reflectors would limit operational area BUT solar gains that are heating the balloon are also heating the surrounding air. Heating the surrounding air negates buoyancy of the balloon. You may find that this decrease in buoyancy negates the practicality of a Solar Balloon to anything other than a toy application. Finally a Solar balloon lacks the controlability its gas fired counterpart has. How do you control or modulate the heat gain of a solar balloon to control rate of climb/decent ? It is bay far easier to modulate a gas fire .
Q:seriously, i didn't think i'd ever be able to see out of my right eye againand that was after the agony of prising it open! Can you wear safety goggles and still be sexy?!
Yes you will die. When and why are in the future, how far in the future depends on what you do to make the event sooner. Among those things is using a Hookah as you describe.
Q:I work in a factory and it's not always too loud but it can get from time to time and i've been having sum earaches. I was thinking of taking my overhead headphones but not sure if that's gonna help. Is there any (inexpensive) alternatives to silly fluffy earmuffs? thanks in advance.
I believe a prior poster. demanding water makes sudsing difficult; tender water encourages suds. Use your detergent at 0.5 potential to start up with. See in case you will come across a satisfied medium the place your suds shrink and your clothing are sparkling. On a reasonably diverse be conscious, lots of people might decide for to have this difficulty! a lot of human beings purchase water softeners because of the fact their detergent won't sudse up. All you need to do is locate much less detergent! Oh, and one extra element. I even have observed that the liquid variations of a few detergents tend to sudse extra advantageous than their powder opposite numbers. ought to come to a decision directly to regulate to a powder and notice if it makes a distinction.
Q:Ok, so I have an Oldenburg mare (Contucci x AprilFest) who I am considering breeding at some point down the road. She is registered with Oldenburg NA. She was inspected as a foal and scored an 8.0 for type, 7.0 for movement, 7.5 for overall Impression, and 7.5 for the total. I have the original pink registry form with 4 generations of bloodlines on both sides. If I chose to put her in the mare book, would I have to have her reinspected (she was only like 3 months old when she was first inspected and branded)? The website information is not that great. According to the website, I'm pretty sure she qualifies. If I breed her to a stallion in a different breed regitary's stud book, is the foal still eligable for registration (in Oldenburg or a different breed registry) if I don't put my mare in a mare book? Thanks
When the alarms go off, one of the detectors will sound different from the others. This will be the one that is causing the problem. Look up the manufacturer on the Internet and find the owners manual for that model number. It should tell you how to clean it. If you can't find it, try using the vacuum cleaner to get the dust out. Low or dead batteries do not make the alarm go off. Dirt, spiders, mites, steam, cooking smoke, hairs pray and some other things do. If you still have trouble, it may be a bad detector. I doubt it though.
Q:I found another workout that says it'll burn 100 calories. I'm 125 pounds and was wondering if you could give me an estimate as to how many calories I would burn by doing this workout once. Thanks!Run in place (1 min.)Jumping jacks (1 min.)Walking lunges (10 each side)Mountain climbers (30 sec.)Jumping jacks (1 min.)Jump squats (20 times)Plank (30 sec.)Fire hydrants (40 each leg)
personally I'd say contacts.. glasses can fall off unless you get a strap around the back of your head. Plus glasses tend to get Really fogged up in hockey because of the heat off your face and the cold environment.. You'll lose visibility pretty fast.
Q:I don't even know how I managed to do this, but I took a corner awkwardly/too fast and somehow sent the 2 passenger side wheels up onto a nice big curb for a second. Pretty mad at myself.I haven't been able to get under the car to inspect yet, but the 2 alloy wheels have some fantastic curb rash, and I need a new rocker panel since its scraped so bad that the white plastic shows through (the car is black). The car doesn't seem to drive any different, but I'm sure my suspension/chassis didn't appreciate the excitement.Besides wheel alignment, what should I worry about? Should I have the car looked at to be safe?
Fruits are developed from the ovary in the base of the flower, and contain the seeds of the plant.
Q:car? especially when i go over speed bumps or cracks i hear a bang noise? what could it be? thanks.
The college I tried out at (Universite du Quebec a Trois Rivieres) .. seem to remember we had a choice of wire cage or combo (half-shield/half-wire) but you absolutely had to wear one.
Q:I have a Xerox 4508 Docuprint Laser printer which was working fine until recently it's been printing very very fine blank streaks with every page. It's almost like it decided to not print a thing at that spot. It's more on the left side. I took the toner out and shook it to no avail. I'm thinking I might replace the toner if that fixes the problem but then again it might be the thing called the fuser inside. The streaks are very very finely grained, almost like a pixel in width across the finest lines and then some are a bit wider like they have many clustered finer lines making them up.Uhmm and besides that I have had paper jams quite often recently. Is there any place I could buy those rubber rollers to replace my ones or maybe clean them with isopropyl alcohol to stop the paper jams. Assuming I can fix the streaking of course
Yes, glass is both reflecting and transmitting at all angles. It isn't perfectly reflecting, and it isn't perfectly transparent. Instead at all angles a certain percentage of light is reflected and the rest is transmitted. If you put something dark behind the glass, you'll actually have a pretty decent mirror consisting of the reflection off the front surface. I'm not sure why it bothers your intuition that some energy is reflected and some isn't, why you think it doesn't stand to reason that both things can happen. That's a natural behavior for a great variety of situations. The unusual thing is for something to be 100% opaque or 100% reflective. For instance with sound hitting walls, most of the energy bounces off the walls, but some can be heard in the next room. As to your original question, the answer is no. At Brewster's angle only one particular polarization of light is reflected, so if you start out with unpolarized light (as most light is) it reflects as polarized. But you wouldn't ordinarily notice a difference in light intensity. You can detect it by seeing what passes through a sheet of polarized material, such as polarized sunglasses.
Q:Seems like Reigns and Rollins but I think Ambrose will stay a heel and maybe get more members to start a new crew name.
I strongly agree with Footprintz in his feelings about polycrap. It is absolutely the worst material to look through and has the highest chromatic abberation of any lens material. To put it plainly, it's crap. AR coatings have to match the substrate of the material they are being put on. As the material bends or flexes, the AR coat must have the ability to do the same thing. If it doesn't, it cracks and crazes. Crizal (the first in the line of AR coatings by Essilor) was put on any surface and it performed poorly. The new Crizal Avance' or Sapphire can only be put on certain manufacturer's lenses that match the substrate of the material. This prevents cracking. And, as far as manufacturing errors FOUR TIMES?? What kind of POOR lab are they using? Are you sure your Rx is ok? I'd be very wary of anyone who tries it four times and then tells you it's a manufacturing error. I've fired labs and gone on to another lab for less than that. That is unacceptable.
