Introduction

poly solar cells are currently the fastest developing a solar cell, its structure and production process has been finalized, the products have been widely used for space and ground. Such solar cells with high purity silicon rods as raw materials. Silicon rods, material performance indicators in order to reduce production costs, and now solar terrestrial applications such as the use of solar grade somewhat relaxed. Some semiconductor devices can also be used for processing materials and discard the head and tail of silicon materials, solar cells after re-drawn into a dedicated silicon rod.

Q: Can solar panels be installed on a boat?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a boat. In fact, many boat owners choose to install solar panels as a reliable and sustainable source of energy.
Q: Can solar panels be used on boats or RVs?
Yes, solar panels can be used on boats or RVs. In fact, they are a popular choice for these applications as they provide a reliable and environmentally-friendly source of power. Solar panels can help to generate electricity for various onboard systems, such as lighting, appliances, and charging batteries, making them an excellent option for those seeking off-grid power solutions while on the move.
Q: can a small solar panel be charged with lamps?
That would depend on the frequency that the solar panel accepts and the frequency of light that your lamp gives out. It may or may not work. The sun gives out a much broader spectrum of light, which is why solar panels are much more effective in sunlight. I have seen solar panels charged by lamps, but it usually doesn't work that well and I have never seen it work with fluorescent lighting.
Q: How do solar panels affect the overall comfort of a building?
Solar panels can positively impact the overall comfort of a building by reducing energy costs, improving indoor air quality, and providing a more reliable and sustainable source of electricity.
Q: i have a 2v 2a solar panel that i want to use to charge a 2v battery .Have found out that i need a charge controller so i don't over charge the battery.I have found a cheep one its 2v but 7a will it still work ?All-so im planing on running a 2v water pump off the battery with a timer, its for watering my garden. Will the timer have to be 2v as well ?any help on this would be greatly appreciated thanks .
The charger will accept whatever current is necessary from the solar panel up to 7A. It's not like the solar panel will force 2amps into the charger/battery -- the charger will control the current going to the battery. I question whether or not the 2V panel will actually charge the battery, though, because in order to charge a standard lead-acid 2V battery you need to have about 4.5 volts applied to the terminals. Perhaps the charger has a boost circuit -- I don't know without looking at it or knowing the brand/model number, etc. The timer must be 2VDC, but, if you only have a timer that is rated for 20VAC, you can buy a small inverter that will take 2V and supply the necessary 20VAC. An inverter rated for 20 to 50 Watts should be sufficient. These usually cost under US$25. .
Q: Can solar panels be used to power a farm?
Yes, solar panels can be used to power a farm. By harnessing the power of the sun, solar panels can generate electricity that can be used to run various farm operations such as irrigation systems, grain dryers, electric fencing, and even power agricultural machinery. This renewable energy source not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels but also helps farmers save on energy costs while promoting sustainability.
Q: If you want to instal solar panels...how often do you have to replace them?
Expect a water heating panel to last about the same as a water heater, 0 to 5 years. Actually, my brother's system is coming up on 5 years, and is not giving trouble yet, so maybe technology has advanced. I have actually never personally known of anyone replacing a solar electric panel due to wear-out. I have heard of occasional replacements due to accidents, including natural disasters like lightning strikes. And one brand of panels had manufacturing defects around the year 2000, but that manufacturer owned up and replaced those free of charge to their customers. A standard warranty on a solar electric panel nowadays is 25 years.
Q: Can solar panels be used for powering outdoor recreational vehicles?
Yes, solar panels can be used for powering outdoor recreational vehicles such as RVs, campers, and boats. They provide a convenient and eco-friendly way to generate electricity for various appliances and systems in these vehicles, including lighting, refrigeration, heating, and charging electronic devices. Solar panels can harness the sun's energy to charge batteries, which can then be used to power the vehicle's electrical needs, making it a sustainable and cost-effective option for outdoor enthusiasts.
Q: I hooked up a 2V solar panel to a small relay. The relay switches at 9V. When I have light shining on the panel it puts out aorund 3-4V, but when I hook it up directly to the relay it drops to V and doesn't switch the relay. Why? and How do I fix it?-2V Mono-Crystalline Solar Panel -JWD 7 4 reed relay
There is no ampere output listed for the solar panel. There is specs indicating the relay has a 200 ohm coil. This means the current required for the relay is 0 ma. The solar panel should supply that much. Check the resistance of the relay coil. It sounds like you have the relay coil in series with another resistance, such as a loose connection or a corroded connection. If you can, disconnect the wires from the solar panel and twist the two wires connected to the relay coil, and read the resistance of the two wires connected at on end. A high resistance will indicate a problem in the wires. TexMav
Q: I need to know how solar photovoltaic panels work. Anyone have a good explanation?
Hey E Girl, photovoltiac panels are pretty simple. They start with a solid block of silicone, and shave thin layers off of them, called wafers. Once you have about 72 of them, you take half of them and dope them with boron, then the other half are doped with phosphorous. Once that's done, they take one each phosphorous and boron wafer, and glue them together with a special conductive epoxy glue, and attach a wire to each wafer. When the two glued wafers are exposed to the sun, a reaction occurs that forces free electrons from the silicone particles from one wafer onto the other, and a voltage is generated between them, about /2 volt to be exact. Once all 36 pairs are glued together, they are wired in series, connecting the phosphourous wafer from one to the boron wafer on the next, and so on. If you start with 72 wafers, you'll have 36 pairs glued together when you are done. At /2 volt each, that makes a 8 volt panel, which is used to charge a 2 volt battery. The charging source always has to have a few more volts than the battery. These 36 pairs of cells are then arranged on some kind of back board, glued down, covered with acrylic glass and mounted in a frame. There are some great websites you can go to for more info, I will list some below. Did you know that there are over 00,000 homes and businesses in the US alone that use some level of solar power to operate their electrical systems? That's good news. We actually live in one of those homes, it is powered by both the wind and sun and heated with solar and wood. I hope this answers your question, good luck, and take care, Rudydoo
