He probabLy just hasn't found that nesting place yet, he will find one within the next couple weeks. And maybe it's a comforting place for him, a place where he feels safe. But if you want him to come out more often, try giving him some treats. Basically, use treats as a sign that he can feel safe outside the tube too. Hope this helps!
