- Q:I hate the plastic tubes. They're fiddly awkward to use, especially as they get near running out. Metal was SOOO much easier. Just roll up the tube it stays rolled up. Just squeeze the metal it doesn't pop right up as soon as you release the pressure, but stays down. Basically metal packaging was right for the job. Plastic tubes are a poor, inadequate alternative, I hate them.It can't be due to cost, since so many drinks are still sold in metal cans, if it was down to the cost all the metal cans would be replaced with cheaper plastic alternatives, but they're not.So what is the reason it's only plastic for toothpaste now?
- It is due to cost. Drinks used to be sold in steel cans and glass bottles, now they are sold in aluminum cans and plastic bottles, due to cost. You can buy a plastic clip to put on the toothpaste tube to solve your problem.
- Q:At night my hamster wakes up and plays and stuff, well he has these plastic tubes that he can climb up to get to different areas of his cage, he likes to chew on them. - You can get this stuff called bitter apple spray that tastes bad but won't hurt them. Some pet stores have some for small animals, but the dog stuff is really the same thing so if that's all you can find, go for it. It's usually in the dog remedy aisle (with vitamins, hip meds, etc.) Do what the first person said and put it on a cotton ball and wipe it on the bars/plastic. And I agree with what someone else said, maybe he likes to chew on plastic. I don't think any plastic is okay for them to ingest, but then again maybe they're not ingesting it. I work at a pet store and all of our small animals chew up their plastic igloos like crazy, and none have died from digestive/stomach problems. So maybe try one of those? One the right size for a dwarf hamster is like $3-$4. You could try giving him a Nylabone or a Greenies dog treat, those both have a plastic-like texture. If you get a Nylabone I think i'd steer away from the meat-flavored ones. Also, what kind of food are you feeding him? If it's the seed-based kind, maybe if you fed him lab blocks he'd get some of the gnawing out of his system that way. Good luck!

- It is called a talk box, the company heil makes the original one that peter frampton used in the 70's, it is a pain to hook up. there is a fairly newer one on the market called a banshee talk box, basically there is a speaker in the box on the floor it puts out your guitar up thru the plastic tube, when you put your mouth on it. you can manipulate the sound and it is picked up by the microphone.

- Add 4oz of the Slime sealant to the inner tube. The cap of the Slime bottle should have a tool built in that will unscrew the valve core. Once the core is out, just use the included clear plastic tube to put the slime in. When you are all finished just screw the core back in and air it up.
