Q: My old card only needed one of these cables. but my new 4870 will need two. can i just use a IDE-to-PCI-e power cable? its only got 3 wires out of the 6 though. does this matter?
You okorder /... It takes two 4-pin PSU molex connectors and converts it into 1 6-pin PCIe connector. Make sure your PSU can supply the necessary amps on its +12V rails, and if you got a PSU with multiple +12V rails, you need to make sure you got the load spread out among different rails to avoid overloading one rail.
Q: Whenever I unplug the power cable, the laptop starts to lag, bad, and yes I do have a fully charged battery. This has been happening ever since I got the thing, and no it has nothing to do with the battery, and no matter how many times I re-plug the cable and take it out again, or just leave it in, it continues to lag. The only time it stops is when I reboot, at least until I unplug it again. Also, it has nothing to do with the performance battery plan. Any ideas? This is really annoying.
Do you mean lag as in a slow OS. Well- Where is your SPEEDSTEP set at in your BIOS? You may have 3 or 2 settings which ARE affected when your Cable Power is removed it will go to a Bit Slower Processor Speed to prolong the battery. If after you change the settings in BIOS and it does this again, its likely need to be sent back for repair under Warranty as this is NOT Normal...
Q: What kind of material does the power cable accessory contain?
When the short circuit occurs when the wire through a large current, more than the rated current of the wire, so the wire will heat
Q: I have a ZXi8008 and there's a cable that goes out to the head unit to turn on the amplifier, which is different than the power cable. But in this car, i have not installed a new head unit. Where do I hook up this cable otherwise? It needs a constant power supply to be on.
i would hook it up to the power cable from ur stero that whay the amp will only come on when the radio comes on. that way u wont drain ur battery, thats if ur talking about the remote cable
Q: How do power-station-cable thieves manage to get away without being electrocuted?
Police are hunting for a badly scorched would-be copper thief after finding a hacksaw embedded in an 11,000 volt power cable. The thief also left a lit blow torch at the scene. He is presumed to be badly charred, and not the brightest bulb in the socket. .
Q: I have a SATA hard drive and a SATA cd drive. Is the power supplied through the SATA cable or do i need seporate power cables
sounds like you need an adapter, it will hook right up to current power supply , there not more then a few dollars
Q: What is the difference between a YJV cable and a VV cable?
YCV-copper core XLPE insulated PVC sheathed power cable, VV-copper core PVC insulated PVC sheathed power cable. YJV-voltage level (kV) 6 ~ . the maximum allowable working temperature 90 ℃ VV-voltage level (kV) 1 ~ . allowing the maximum operating temperature of 65 ~ 70 ℃
Q: I'm getting some upgrades for my pc and that includes a new power supply with the necessary amperage and 2 6-pin pci-e connectors to power my card. The card is already here but the psu probably won't get here until next week. I want to know if there is any way to run the card from the power coming from the pci-e slot. The card requires 2x 6-pin connectors, but i want to install it now to get that out of the way...
No, it will simply not work as the additional power supply is needed even for normal operation (not just gaming). This is designed to avoid overloading the motherboard's power circuits.
Q: My ISP had installed an outdoor antenna from where a white RJ45 cable runs into a little white box (which is plugged into AC outlet) and from the same white box i do have another RJ45 jack plugged into my laptops NIC card. I came to know that the white ethernet cable is Power over Ethernet cable which carries the power as well as data. I just want to know if i can plug that ethernet directly into my laptops NIC card ? Can i do that will there be any harm to my laptop's NIC ??
It sounds like your ISP is using an Axcelera (I don't remember the exact spelling) radio. The ac power powers the radio over the cable going to the antenna, but that power is separated from the cable going to your computer. It is completely safe.
Q: The power supply I have has 8 Peripheral cables. I need just a few more than that. Is there a cable splitter I can get? Or what can I do? I have the power, just need the extra connectors.
yes,they okorder /
