Magnesium oxide board is combined system of Mgo, MgCl2 and H2O and alkali . The stable magnesium colloid is reinforced by middle alkali glass fiber net and stuffed by light material then becomes new frame less decorative material. It has the features of light weight, strong intensity, little contraction, easy constructing. Especially the unique waterproof, fireproof, corrosion proof and plasticity are better than normally used wooden multisplint, paper surface plaster board etc.

Main characteristics

Water proof
Through experiment and test, after this material has been immersed in the water for one month, it keeps its original shape, without deformation or expansion, its dry-wet deforming ratio is 0.26%, its water absorbing capacity is 15%, especially the creasing resistance is 15Mpa under the dry condition and 22 Mpa under the moisture absorbing condition, i.e. the strength under the moisture absorbing condition is highter.

Fire proof

Q:I have made a few PF Cakes out of vermiculite, brown rye flour, in a few glass jars and a syringe of mushroom spores.(in Aug.) I followed all of the steps, gave birth and grew a few batches of mushrooms, but I don‘t like them. Can I buy a different strain of mushroom spores and plant them and grow them on the cakes I have already birthed and cultivated a few times? Instead of having to make a PF cake from the beginning with the brown rye flour.: That will work, unless the previous mushrooms have matured and deposited some spores in the medium. That would mix the varieties and you wouldn't have a clean start. New cakes would work the best since the nutrients are not depleted.

Q:I‘ve prepared a plastic container with a couple of holes. Can I use potting soil instead of vermiculite? will the eggs be lack of oxygen if i close the lid?: Potting soil is fine. Just remember that red eared slider eggs must stay face up. Hard to explain but do not move it's placement. For example, Keep the side of the eggs that was facing up, actually facing up. So if you put a dot on top of the egg and move the egg to your potting soil, make sure that dot is facing up.

Q:I need soil advice. I am growing ghost pepper seeds, Trinidad 7 pod seeds, scorpion peppers, Carolina reaper pepper seeds, and chocolate ghost peppers. Can I use 1/3 seed starting mix 1/3 vermiculite and 1/3 sand? And can I grow all of them the same way with the heat at 83-90°F?: I've just reptile-safe soil and coconut mulch before with no issues :) (eco earth, bed-a-beast etc)

Q:My leo laid eggs in the water dish. 3 days later i read that it would kill them and filled the dish with vermiculite. did the eggs die before i filled it with vermiculite, or do they still have a chance?: Earthworm castings but they are also a bit expensive because you need a very large amount. The cheaper way is to put a 6-12 deep pile of organic material like yard clippings onto the planting area, then cover with black plastic such as trash bags or better yet a tarp. Keep the material moist but not soaking wet. Leave it like this during the winter. Then earthworms will eat the plant material and give you lots of castings for free. You still need a fertilizer for major nutrients on top of this; any generic brand balanced organic fertilizer will do. Or you can use sterilized chicken manure, bone meal and a little kelp. Vermiculite is basically rock foam to help get air to the roots. Loosening the soil with tilling and materials like earthworm castings provides air too. Lighting will be extremely expensive no matter what you do. The power consumption will be much more than the fixture cost. Instead you might try a greenhouse. Or for herbs since they take up only a small space you can light them artificially so they are convenient and in reach. That's more reasonable but it still isn't cheap. If you have a sunny window that would be better. Most easy to grow summer vegetables are vines so they will do well on a trellis. Pick up however many you need.

Q:How does vermiculite make a roof insulation?: The thickness of the insulating layer is usually 1.3 times the design thickness (not including the leveling layer). After the laying, it is leveled with a wooden board (wooden crab) and leveled to the design thickness. The bedding plane of the expanded vermiculite particles should be parallel with the laying plane as possible as possible.

Q:I put a bunch of vermiculite (that is probably spelled wrong.) in a pot and then watered it down until the water was as deep as the vermiculite, then dipped the stems of the clippings in some root growth powder and stuck the stems in the vermiculite, I don't think the leaves were touching the wet vermiculite, but after a little over a weak the clippings were basicly reduced to slime... what went wrong?? was there to much water for them??? Was the vermiculite to much for the leaves?? I know that their leaves are very sensitive to water on them, but I am pretty sure they weren't touching the vermiculite/water mix. :S: the best thing to do would be to call a home inspector. They know all the dangers to look for in the entire house, not just the insulation. (Mold, rot, waterdamage, termites, mildew, etc)
