Q:I am repairing a battery pack that likely has 1200mAh SubC NiCD batteries in it. Can I mix a 1200mAh and 2400mAh battery in the same pack wired in a series circuit?
Yes you can but now you have a 1200mAh systemMake sure you mean series because this answer is based on that.if its a parallel system ,,,that is,, where the output voltage is no greater than any one of the batteries by itself,, then your good to go.and all you have done is drop the time that it will take to discharge the whole systemMost battery packs for drills have a battery pack with cells all alike for a reason .the least charged cell will determine the life.from the E.
Q:I am using the Play and Charge Kit for the XBOX 360.but using regular rechargable batteries instead of the pack.will it sill charge?
If you put it in a charge dock for the battery pack no. Rechargeable batteries will not last as long. I would go for the battery pack 24 hours with a good dock for it. The Microsoft dock is great! Good luck!
Q:I bought a 4 pack of AA batteries at the grocery store the other day and thought I forgot them in the cart because I couldn't find them. Well today I found them in my freezer. Must have accidently thrown them in while putting away the groceries. Can I still use them?
It will do no harm to try to use them. Bring them up to room temperature slowly - just put them in the kitchen for a couple of days. Dry them off frequently when condensation forms on them. Then simply try them.
Q:Hi, don't know if people can help me with this or not but I need some advice. Is it worth it to buy Microsoft genuine rechargable battery pack or a generic (unknown name) which has extremely high MaH?I have seen some battery packs on OKorder which have 3200MaH, I believe that is double the capacity of the Microsoft packs?Anyone have any advice. Thanks in advance
For me is better to buy the play and charge kit. because you get in the package you get a rechargable battery and when it goes out just plug in the play and charge kit and it will charge it while you keep playing and then when it goes out do the same thing. The battery holds a lot of charge it lets you play for about eight hours straight
Q:Use 8 AA batteries (1.5V per section) to get a battery pack with a voltage of 9.6V
5 rechargeable battery voltage is 1.2V a, so with 8 AA rechargeable batteries get the output voltage is just 9.6V. Can replace the 9.6V single battery, such as to be more durable, as long as the capacity of some of the battery on it.
Q:i bought my canon powershot sd1300 IS a week ago, and now it is saying that i need to change the battery pack? i'm confused. should i have more than one battery? and when i tried to charge it it wouldn't do anything. i'm confused.
A flat battery. probable motives: Generator force belt is loosened, defective generator or too plenty electric powered products or valuable HiFi set put in interior the automobile. Remedial strikes: Tighten the force belt. replace defective generator, decrease the electrical powered usages or improve your generator and put in one greater battery, in case you have a valuable HiFi gadget.
Q:I have one of those sealed battery/jumpstart boxes that I use to jumpstart a car when the battery dies. This is what I normally do to jumpstart a battery.1) I plug the batterypack into a wall outlet, let it charge overnight.2)The jumpstart box has a red and black clamp that I place on each terminal of the battery.3) The jumpstart box has a dial that once everything is clamped onto the battery, I turn the dial to jumpstart and then start the car.4) After car is started, I turn the dial off, remove the clamps from the battery and Im done.My QUESTION is as follows. I have been working on my car for over a month and the battery has been out of the car. At this stage, Im almost positive that the battery will almost if not completely dead.Is it ok for the car battery to remove it from the car completely, hook up the clamps to it from the jumpstart box, turn the dial over to jumpstart and just let the battery charge? If Yes, how long should i leave them on.ty
you need to install the battery, then jump it and take the car out if the battery is still good they charge themselves as you drive.
Q:I have replaced the ni-cad cells in my 18V bosch drill with li-ion cells (respecting the voltage and wiring). Can I use the original ni-cad charger? The charger knew when to stop charging with the ni-cad battery, will it do the same now?Thank you.
If you can stop a 300 ft pound impact wrench it isn't worth owning unless there is a torque setting and you have it on the weakest setting. Regarding the batteries, tools are usually one or the other meaning that if it comes with NiCad or Li Ion there is no switching to the other or why would they produce two batts for the same device. If you HAVE a choice Li ion batts are very light in weight by comparison to 18V NiCads are. I have two cordless drills I use/used. One is an 18 volt DeWalt with NiCad and the other is Rigid with Li Ion, they are both the same relative age ( maybe 6 months between the two) . My DeWalt is still going strong 8 years later, but the Rigid with compact Li Ion batts are BOTH dead and gone: no recharging will kick them over. I called customer service to see if I could find out whether it was the charger or the batts. They weren't any help so I got another charger and the batts came up as defective. At $100 each I am in no hurry to replace them because the DeWalt is still going strong. So I am convinced Li Ion is one I personally will avoid going forward.
Q:I want to replace the batteries for my portable printer so I opened up the battery pack and inside were four cells. They all say ICR18650S2.
They are battery cells, you can not buy them separately. You need to buy the actual battery pack itself (yes, that big fat case). You can easily buy them from Amazon by searching your printer model
Q:DUE TONIGHT PLEASE HELPA 90 kg astronaut floating out in space is carrying a 1.0 kg TV camera and a 10 kg battery pack. He's drifting toward his ship but, in order to get back faster, he hurls the camera out into space (away from the space ship) at 18 m/s and then throws the battery at 11 m/s in the same direction. What's the resulting increase in his speed after each throw?speed increase after discarding camera.?speed increase after discarding battery?
The key here is to remember that momentum is conserved. Momentum is mass times velocity. Are you sure you've got the masses right, surely the TV camera is heavier than the battery pack? Since (relative to each other), neither astronaut, nor camera nor battery is moving, the total momentum can be taken to be zero. So after throwing the camera away, the total momentum should be zero m/s. That means the astronaut should have equal momentum in magnitude, but opposite in direction, to the camera. Let's take the direction the camera was thrown in to be negative. Then the momentum of the camera after it is released is (1.0 kg)(-18 m/s) -18 kg m/s. So the momentum after discarding the camera must be 18 kg m/s. Dividing by the mass of the astronaut (plus battery pack, as he's still got it at this point), which is 100 kg, gives an increase in speed of 0.18 m/s. Now we do the same thing with the battery pack. Since, relative to each other, neither are moving, we can say that the total momentum before releasing it is zero, so the total momentum after releasing it must be zero also. The momentum of the battery pack, since it is thrown in the negative direction also, is (10 kg)(-11 m/s) -110 kg m/s. Therefore the total momentum of the astronaut must increase by 110 kg m/s also, and dividing by the mass of the astronaut (90 kg) gives a speed increase of 1.22 m/s.
