FAQ

How do rechargeable batteries work? I need to write a paragraph on them, so it can be brief information I've searched google and couldn't find much
keep looking.
I have an electric scooter with a brand new 24 volt battery pack. When I charge the battery the voltage gets as high as 28 volts or more. I bought a brand new charger that has a 1.8 amp output rating. The charger light stays red while charging and should shut off when it turns green. So far I have not let the charger charge until the green light comes on. I am concerned that I am overcharging the battery. Right now my multimeter reads 28.48 volts. Is this normal? Thanks in advance.
28 1/2 volts doesn't worry me; many sealed lead acid batteries charge to more than 2.3 volts per cell. At 29 volts I'd get concerned and at 30 volts I'd call it quits. However, the real issue is whether the batteries are getting hot. If they are just slightly warm they are still converting the energy to chemistry, but if they develop a fever (call it above 110 F) they are just turning the charge into heat they are fully charged.
i have had a rechargable battery pack for my xbox 360 wireless controller for a few months and its the kind where u take the back of and but it on a charger and when its charging it turns red, and when its dsone it truns green, lately it become dead and i put it on and it does green insteadof red, it did tht for a few months but still charged it, now it barely charges it. what is wrong and wat do i do?
you simply need to replace the batteries. rechargeable batteries loose the ability to retain power. i also have rechargeable batteries for my xbox controllers and i would say batteries last about 5 months with regular usage.
I have this moped with a dead battery, i need one, and the only one i could find that is in stock, is a 4Ah battery pack. Can i use this battery as a replacement for a 12V 5Ah battery pack?
From the electrical point of view, yes - it does have 20 percent less nominal capacity (4Ah vs. 5 Ah), but it is still better than a dead battery. Before buying check also its physical size, type and layout of terminals - they should be the same as the original battery, otherwise it will be difficult to install.

I found this behind the battery.SOTEC WABT02Battery Pack LI4401AOutput: 14.8v 4400mAh S/N
I tried but could find only Japanese sites listing (after using translate button) really not much help unless you speak the language. Seems the company was part of ONKYO, I even found a picture of the battery - made in taiwan. Not much help but have you tried calibrating the current battery? It works in many cases so its worth a try - see the link
What should the UPS battery pack remove and reassemble?
Place the battery in the upright direction and prohibit the use of the battery.
I am finally going to upgrade to a digital SLR soon and am trying to figure out how long these $250 power battery packs (that clip on to the bottom of the camera) last compared to a small $30-$60 battery. While there are reviews, this is the most important aspect of the item I cannot find. How long does this last and how much better is it than 1 or even 2 extra batteries?
Usually the battery grips allow you to use 2 of the regular batteries in the pack, so you will still have to get the extra batteries. Mine came with an extra cartridge that can take AA batteries as well, which is a good option in a pinch. It has been my observation that the extra battery in the grip lets you draw more power from both. When I first started shooting professionally, my mentor told me the biggest rookie mistake was not having back up batteries. I would get the grip, and have at least a total of 4 batteries per camera (two for the grip and two charged or charging)
i need a battery pack for a project but i dont know where to get one can anyone please tell me
What does normal battery pack mean? You can get batteries at most drug stores and places like home depot. You can get battery holders online if that is what you mean. see link
