- It would make it a lighter color for sure, but the shade probably won't be very consistent. Think blue jeans that have had bleach splashed on them. You also wouldn't be able to use your house until it aired out with the windows open for a few days.

- Q:I bought a couple of area rugs I have recently moved them have found that the backing is leaving dull looking marks on the wood flooring. How do I remove the marks??
- I would remove the rugs entirely and not use them on the wood. I would use Murphy's Oil Soap to clean it up. Just put it on a rag and test it in one spot before dong it all over. It should clean it up good. If you have to use the rugs, put down a padding especially for under area rugs. They sell them at most of the carpet stores, and maybe the large box stores. Good luck.
