Q:ALLOY, GUNMENTAL OR STAINLESS STEEL?
Alloy okorder.com/
Q:Guns, Germs, and Steel?
i dont really understand this question but if it means to how it was before then it was absent because the native americans were not into technology so they obviously had no guns created that was something that they had traded to get from europe as for the germs i ddo not know about thta really except for if it means that common disease and one of the diseases most used in history books is malaysa from mosquitos but when they had traded with europe they got all sorts of diseases now for steel the only reason i remember them traveling for is for gold and i dont remember them ever looking for it until 13 colonies were established as you can see im not exactly sure about germs and steels but i know that the guns part is correct
Q:Rolled oats VS Steel cut oats?
The biggest difference, is steel cut oats tend to be a European way, and Rolled oats are more North American, Irish and Scottish Oats tend to be steel cut, take longer to cook as the germ and whole grain is almost shredded, where with rolled oats it is process to were only a portion of the bran remains, that is why you can by Oat Bran in North America. We have instant, quick and large flake from Quaker, all cook in a matter of between 2-10 minutes, steel cut can take up to 25-30 minutes and do better in a double boiler, my mother tells a story were her grandmother would prepare it at night and let it sit on the back of the wood stove all night for breakfast the next day.
Q:Aluminum and Steel brittle or ductile based on these results?
Only steel(of this pair)might be liable to brittle fracture, which would be implied by almost zero elongation or reduction in area at fracture. On this basis the steel has not failed by brittle fracture.I would expect much more elongation in pure aluminium than your sample shows so I presume it to be brittle unless it is an alloy rather than commercially pure aluminium. However brittle fracture in metals is a particular phenomenon to be determined by impact tests and examination of fracture surfaces and is particularly relevant to metals with the body centred crystal structure.
Q:why do ships of steel float?
Concrete boats also float, Capt Johns link explains that. It is area + weight + volume. Displacement. Buoyancy is achieved by Displacing fN or X.
Q:stainless steel cookware sticking?
Food sticks to stainless steel. Gourmet cooks love it for that very reason. Without sticking, foods won't sear properly. For the rest of those cooks out there, nonstick is often an easier option. If you want to make a go of the stainless, here are some tricks of the trade.... a)always preheat the pan on low-medium b)never put cold food into a hot pan. It will stick worse.Leave cold food on counter for 15 minutes before it hits the pan. c)after preheating the pan, add oil, or an oil/butter combo d)for foods like eggs, potatos, grilled cheese, nonstick is your best friend. e) when you take food out of pan, immediately wipe the pan out with a kitchen towel. Keeps cleanup from being a nightmare. f) don't wash pans in sink while hot. They will warp. Stainless takes some getting used to. Hope this helps!
Q:Galvanised Steel Questions?
Dear HC, You have a great military box and a cool conversation piece. Take a vacuum and clean the dust. Take some 0000 steel wool and use on the steel parts. This will take some elbow grease! If this doesn't work try some 320 grit sand paper. lightly sand the wood and brush polyurethane on everything . The box doesn't pose any health problems. Also you might find that the box will bring a pretty good price if you decide to sell. Good luck. Sniper
Q:What’s the quality of SUS434 Stainless Steel from Jinsong Stainless Steel?
The steel is added with Mo on the basis of 10Cr17 steel to improve its corrosive pitting resistance and crevice corrosion resistance; it has higher intensity and better salt solution corrosion resistance than 10Cr17 steel. The steel is mainly used in making automobile hub bearing, fastener and external decoration of automobile.
Q:Why nickel makes stainless steel non-magnetic when nickel itself is ferromagnetic?
Dear Ian, Magnetism doesn't add up or average out in that manner. Ferro-magnetism requires that all the spins align. This is a complex effect and needs a subtle interaction between adjacent atoms in the lattice and their singlet electrons. The distance between the the atoms is what is important. Some stainless steels are ferromagnetic because they have the correct spacing, others are not because the spacing is wrong. This spacing is influenced by the makeup of the alloy. Hope that helps a bit:RufusCat Copyleft:RufusCat
Q:So i got caught steeling?
Steeling? What's that? Did you take a piece of steel and weld it? I am confused?
