Q:i heard there are self seal able bicycle tires not the inner tube but the tire it self. place links down below thanks Brian
Hi Brian, I will offer my take on your question. Forget about the so called self seal tires. Not worth the money. I use standard tubes, no liners, and kevlar belted tires. This along with airing up the tires every day or two helps keep flats to zero to two a year. EVERY bicyclists needs to know how to deal with a flat tire. This is the most common problem a bicyclist faces. I carry tire irons, two spare tubes, patch kit, and frame mounted pump. I carry on my tandem a spare folding bead tire. One year I rode about 2,200 miles on 700 x 20 Avocet tires without a single flat. Inner tubes were thin for racing. Wore the rear tire down to the cords. I weighed about 180 pounds that summer. Good Luck
Q:how are tires recycled?
KN - hands down Wont mess with your engine electronics - engine light/etc. Reliable and trusted brand.Tested and proven Reasonable price and EASY to install.
Q:Cause my car tires take 30 PSI and my bike tores take about 40-65 PSI? What is this all about?? Car tires are bigger than bike tires!
bike tires are thin and made of weak construction so they require a tube and high psi my bike tires take 115 psi most cars take 35 and big trucks take 80 and up
Q:Classification of car tires Class C1, C2, C3, respectively, mean what?
Tire Classification. C1 Car Tire. C2 single tire load index less than or equal to 121, the speed level of N and above the truck tires. C3 single tire load index is less than or equal to 121, the speed level of M and below the tire
Q:I just got back from wal-mart and the cheapest price for the tire i needed was $100.00 a tire. While in there waiting and talking to some people, other‘s were paying 300.00 for just 2 tires. Is the price of tires going up because of this oil spill?
fed ex contractors, we were told that the price oil drove the price o tires up
Q:besides peeling, what would be considered a defect for a new car tire?
Tire cord separation and split threads is about all there will be for new car tires
Q:Ok is it possible to use a 175/60/15 tire on a car that has 175/65/15 tires
Yes but unless you use a pair of them I'd only use it temporarily though.
Q:What is the standard for car tires?
Tire type and specification: International standard tire code, expressed in millimeters as a percentage of section height and flatness, followed by: tire type code, rim diameter (inch), load index (permitting bearing quality code), promise With speed code. For example: 175 / 70R 14 77H 175 represents the tire width is 175MM, 70 means that the flatness of the tire cross section is 70%, that is, the cross section height is 70% of the width, the rim diameter is 14 inches, the load index 77, the allowable vehicle speed is H level
Q:or are snow tires only good for snow?
Snow tires have a more open tread pattern that bites down into snow better and then allows the snow to be thrown out of the groove. The pattern typically is not so optimized for channeling away water as with an all season tire. At low speeds the differences in water channeling are not significant. However, because of the open pattern, there is less rubber surface area to contact the road with snow tires. This can make for longer stopping distances in rain. As a rule of thumb, all -season and snow tires tend to perform equally well at snow depths to about 3", above which snow tires become advantageous. These comments may not be applicable with the newer tech "sticky" rubber such as on the Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice tires or the multicellular tread surface on Bridgestone Blizzak tires.
Q:I have a 2000 Honda Elite 50cc scooter and i need new tires for it. Problem: the manual says that i need a 2.75-10-4pr tire. Checked. Obsolete tire. So. is there a way that i can try and convert the tire size to something a little more usable? I have tried looking this up, and have decided that hours of staring at things I don‘t understand was fun, but pointless. I have seen people talking about a Pirelli SL 26 tire with the specs being 90/90J/10, but i‘m not about to put a tire on my little scooter that may cause it to burst into flames or send me flying into space. (and yes, i know that nothing of the sort will happen)Any advice or knowledge would be lovely!
You need to have a metric conversion table handy, that 90/90 is about 10% bigger than the 2.75 and will probably fit, not positive. The 2.75 is measured in inches BUT now most tires are sized/labeled in metric. So just be happy that they still kept the rim size measurements in inches.
