Q:I am planning an outdoor ceremony, but it is on the grass. I want it to be on a hard surface so I was planning to rent tent flooring or an outdoor dance floor, to set the chairs up on. I found a company that charges per square foot, and I was just curious how many square feet should i allow per chair? also, how many feet do you think I will need to put in between the chairs for the aisle?
Probably 2 feet wide x 3.5 deep per chair, at most, should suffice for comfort. That = 7 sqft per chair. You can set up a few kitchen chairs audience style to represent a small portion of seating. I used just 2 chairs and a tape measure. So, for instance, say 50 chairs on one side would require... 50 x 7 = 350 sqft. ... more if you want a hard outside aisle. That's to be discussed with the rental company. ... But 7 sqft per chair. Save a few bucks and squeeze it to 6 sqft. At least for the in-laws. ;-)
Q:Our toddler is a very quick little guy and him accessing our desk is a large problem. The problem is our son being able to climb the desk chairs and possibly fall off of them. We have huge and heavy metal chairs but that doesn't stop him from pushing them out and climbing to pull the keys off my husbands laptop. Is there a special device that could keep a chair latched onto a desk when not in use?Moving computers and closing doors aren't options since we live in a studio apartment.
I'm sorry, what does living in an apartment have to do with being unable to put a laptop on a shelf or in a cupboard? Why don't you keep the desk chairs away from the desk, and just take them up to the desk when you are using them. They have wheel locks, don't they? There's a big difference between pushing them a few inches and a few yards.
Q:how do i get my girl who is 3 1/2 and is soon to be 4to get out the high chair and go to booster seat!if i put in a booster seat she sceams what to do?
I never had that problem, my daughter never goes in the high chair and more (maybe because of her little brother now) she's almost 3. We did have a problem with her sitting in a normal seat because she wouldn't sit down and we finally got a bosster that is almost the same as a high chair. If you get a booster with a tray and put the highchair away for a while (out of sight- out of mind) maybe that will help. she will still feel confined in the booster with a tray and that may be what she needs for now. Good luck.
Q:So, a friend and I are in the middle of a pointless debate. Which would cause more damage, being hit by a chair or a human? We are assuming a human mass of about 77Kg and a chair mass of about 5kg. Both being swung at the the same velocity (about 20 m/s). I said the human because it has about 17 times more mass and momentum. Please set the record straight.
I assume you mean the chair is being swung by a human and the human's arm is swinging, not that a whole human is being swung? So it is a case of being hit by a human with a chair or by the human's fist? The chair would be swung more or less at arms length. Assuming the arm is turning at about the same rotational speed for either the fist or the chair, the end of the chair would actually be much further from the body than the fist at the end of the arm, so the bit of the chair which makes impact would actually be traveling much faster than the fist. You can't simply compare the mass of the human with that of the chair because the mass of the chair is increased by the human who is attached to it and swinging it. Effectively the person and chair become a single bludgeoning unit unless the person lets go of the chair. Given that the total mass is similar but the chair will have greater impact because the bit of the chair farthest from the person swinging it will be moving at a greater speed, the chair will do more damage. Add in to the equation the fact that a person punching will be more likely to pull back from a full impact because of the pain involved in the fist when it hits its mark - but the chair feeds back no pain to the assailant so it can be followed through at full impact. Finally, if the chair hits at one of the padded parts then the blow will be significantly cushioned, but if it is a wooden bit that hits, that will be harder than flesh-covered bone.
Q:I need to fill me bean bag chair but when i got it the zipper was melted shout, how do i open it?
If your chair does not have a zipper you will have to open a seam. Using a pair of scissors or a knife, carefully cut one of the stitches and then open the seam twelve to eighteen inches. The process of removing the beans can be messy. If you wish to save yourself some time, open up a large garbage bag and put the chair directly into the bag. Then shake the chair to remove the beans. If you have opened the seam wide enough, you can turn the chair inside out to remove the old beans. Then remove the chair from the bag and pick out the remaining beans. Next you simply refill the bag with your new filling. Use a needle and thread to repair the seam you had opened. Be sure the stitches are close together and strong. Then your bean bag chair is ready to be used again.
Q:ive been looking every where for info about 1 i have.i googled them and i cant seem to find the info i need .its ,what i think cause its small for like a child,a school chair.e-mail me please if you can help, tks.
Not knowing where you are at, I've had luck locating items on craig's list. Sign on, and post your question. Usually someone will respond quickly. I can't email you because no address was shown. If what you are looking for is a vintage, or antique childs chair or school desk type chair, you may have to get out and visit your local antique shops in your area. Next time you post, add a photo, or sketch that shows what you are looking for.
Q:How about giving a testimony on this chair?
I sure do! In a word: Aaaaaaah!
Q:Normally she was eating in her high chair. But recently I had a C-section and they said no lifting and she is 28 pounds. also, I think she is growing out of her high chair because she tries to stand up in it and rocks it and she can tip over. So, what do I do? Do I get her a booster seat? Does it have buckles? What do you recommend? Today I tried to feed her on the couch but it can be messy and she was running around with food in her hands.P.s. I have to hold my newborn often, so I have only 1 free hand if any.
Booster seat. Your kid should already be able to climb in her own chair.
Q:I need a chair with 4 legs not 5 and no arms.
Yes... you can still get desk chairs with only 4 legs, and no arms. You can find them at department stores, office supply stores, etc. (OfficeMax, Office Depot, Sam's Club, Staples, Target, WalMart, etc) I will say this much.... a chair with 5 legs is more stable than a 4 leg chair....less likely to tip over. When I have a choice between the two... I get the 5 leg chair. Another option might be to consider a kitchen/dining chair. Happy Shopping
Q:My mother has an old rocking chair that i think had a woven seat cushion on it yrs ago, but it has since been ripped off during yrs of storage and use. I want to try to fix the chair so she can sit in it again, but im not sure sure how to weave, it sounds complicated, so im looking for some easy fixes to put a seat on the chair. Any ideas would be helpful.
just replace new seat cushion .. wont cost you more !! mother is much more precious than anything in this world !!
