Executive okorder / High back chairs allow you to rest your head, while mid back and low back chairs don't. Mid back chairs usually don't even reach your neck level. If you sit in your chair for long hours, a high back chair is better.

is it African wood? Is it upholstered?? If so, it could be worth about $500+ depending on the condition - try eBay or goggle to see if you can find any antique dealers, or call your local antique shops, If it's an Armstrong chair, it's worth something - if the paper is a signature, it's probably made by the craftsman whose name was Armstrong - Is it a scrolly stamp?

Q:My venue I am using has banquet chairs that have arms on them. I have found universal chair covers that are bigger than normal that might fit over the chairs. I just need to measure them first before I order one to try out. Has anyone seen a chair cover over a chair with arms? How did it look? You could make some or pay someone to make them. Place an add in a few shops near by and supply the fabric and just pay her a certain amount for how ever many you need. Maybe a family member or friend can do it? I made chair covers for a friends wedding as she had a garden wedding and wanted random old chairs and couldn't get covers for them in her colour theme and size.

If it is a Knoll chair it should have a tag or label on the bottom. If it does not have a label, it is probably a knock off, but still a really good looking chair! You could always try to contact your nearest Knoll Furniture dealer or representative in the area, and speak to them about how to authenticate it and find out when it was made.

Q:i was sitting in my chair checking my email and the chair jerked to the right and now the seat is cooked and its weird becuase when i straightened it out by hand i sat back down and then ittilted to the otherside and now it tilts so bad it almost dumps me out what broke and what can i do to fix it? no i dont weigh much just 150 and the chair is old. so can i save it or just buy a new one, becuase this one is leather and i like it T_T

Check around the chair as there are parts that have become loose and have fallen to the floor. Some are just screws and others are screws with a handle attached. If that is not the problem wait till morning and go have a look at a store for a new chair. Without looking at it. It is going to be a problem to fix.
