- that,s a front wheel drive so if it,s got disc brakes on the back all you do is remove the caliper and rotor, take a torx bit and take out the bolts and the bearing will come off.

- Mr. Clean is water based, it will cause the bearings to rust. Use a solvent based cleaner. I use denatured alcohol. Once the bearings are clean, use a skateboard bearing lubricant.

- You have hub bearings that need to be replaced, once they start to make noise the damage is done and its time to replace them. If your tires are cupped they will sometimes sound like bad bearings.

- CV joints usually make noise only on hard turns under acceleration. It's more of a low knock knock knock noise. Wheel bearings make more of a grinding sound, similar to the noise made by a brake rotor being ground away by the metal part of a brake pad after the pad material is gone. The wheel bearing noise gets louder as you go faster. Clicking noise can be caused by anything stuck in a tire (stone, nail,etc.) and I've seen brakes make a clicking noise when the pads are loose in the caliper mounts. If you jack the car up, you can try shaking the tire in and out holding it on the top and bottom, or from left to right which will tell you if you have worn suspension parts or a bad wheel bearing. Noises are at times hard to pinpoint. Make sure you check your lug nuts, they can loosen up if not torqued properly. Have a mechanic take the vehicle for a ride, test drives are usually free.

- Its possible. The may have contanimated the bearing/grease when installing the brakes, but It may have just been wear especially if you have high mileage on the vehicle. You didnt mention what the mileage was on the vehicle, but wheel bearings do go on the Focus. They probably would not have noticed this without pulling the wheel assembly. Ask them to save the part when they are finished. This way you will be able to inspect it for wear and how bad it really is. This should not be an expensive job. Max price on the part should be $15....and that is with alot of markup. You should also have the opposite side checked to see if that is bad also. Good Luck

- Draw yourself a picture of what is going on. Bearings are normally the angles from true North. Draw A with NSEW cross hatched Draw B with NSEW cross hatched. Then extend line from A to B and put in the 87 degree angle from N. Then add up the angles ---- 3 + 90 + 87 = 180 degrees from B to A. So B is 87 degrees E of N of A and A is 3 degrees S of W of B.

- why do u think u need con rod bearings replaced? if they are making a knocking noise u will need more than just new bearings crank will need regrinding. so the price could be any ones guess.
