- Just the faulty side. Any of the others will clearly tell you when they want to be replaced. The other could go next week or 25k from now. - Q:Thru the oil pan on a vortec 350??? In a half ton P/U.
- Through the oil pan, if you have a clear shot. It will take about 2 hours. However, that is not really the best thing to do as you will want to have the crankshaft milled down so that it is perfectly round. Otherwise the bearings will slip again. That will take time at a machine shop and generally cost around $100. Also you will need oversized rods after doing that. Also to do the above you will need to pull the engine out.

- Ceramic bearings will not hold up to jumps. They are primarily intended for downhill longboarding and street luge. They would work as a speed skate bearing as well. Go for a Swiss bearing like Pig Swiss or Black Panther Swiss. .
