I'm worried that the powder would turn into mud but testing out the powder in the bowl, I figured that if I change the water depending how many rooms i go through (I have three rooms) i should be okay to avoid clogging or anything. The powder is powder sugar fine and don't build up or stay patted when you do. It's soft and moist to the touch.Do you think with that I can have my carpet cleaned that way? - I would not put a rug on him. Only put him out if the weather it nice and dry. Putting on a rug will only help the bacteria out. You should not need to use the louse powder on him either. As for a name how about Ozzy or redd, romper, ernie, pokey, charlie, or just to throw people off you could name him blue. LOL
- Q:Is one of the two supposed to be softer than the other? More durable? Easier to clean? I want a sisal type area rug. I want a casual look that would go with my blend of tradtional and contemporary decor. I do not want a scratchy rug with fibers that quot;stick upquot; like bristles on a brush! I thought the sisal would be softer and more pliant to the touch, but a decorator friend said the jute is what I want.I believe seagrass is the scratchy, bristle-y fiber, and I don't want that. - Sisal rugs tend to be more durable. They are both natural fibers. I believe sisal wool rugs are what you're looking for. Sisal - the strength and durability of natural fibers, Wool - the soft underfoot feel. Sisal wool rugs have the best of both worlds - durable and soft. Jute is also soft, one of the softest natural fiber rugs. I guess the best way to compare the textured feel is to go into a rug shop and feel the difference of the materials.
- Q:I'm in a 5 piece band playing in about a 20x20 room. 2 walls aren't covered with boxes and the floor is linoleum. It's really loud in there and we need to dampen the room to a bearable level. We were thinking about getting 3 or 4 rugs for said 2 walls and floor. But then we started considering acoustic foam. I'm sure acoustic foam is more effective than rugs, but since we're on a really tight budget, is it really worth it to spend twice as much on foam? Or will rugs suffice? Side question, if we get rugs, could we just get 2 and put them on the floor since i'm certain the linoleum is the main culprit, or do the walls probably need it to?

- Wal-Mart and Sears both rent out rug doctors (steam cleaners for carpets). Some Ace Hardware stores do this also. Wal-Mart would probably be the cheapest and if you've never used one before they can give you step by step directions. It will cost you about $30 - $40 for one day (depending on where you rent it from) plus the cost of the cleaner that you have to mix in with the hot water (usually about $20 for the big bottle and cheaper for a medium or small bottle). Go to the service desk at Wal-Mart and ask to rent a rug doctor. If your carpet is berber it will help but it won't make it look new if it is really dirty. Otherwise this should do the trick. The key, when you are cleaning the carpets, is to go VERY SLOW. You might want to go over high traffic areas twice. I clean my carpets once a month and this keeps them looking new!
- Q:I have a large black rug. The hairs in it are impossible to get out! I've tried vacuuming AND brooming. The hairs won't budge. Does a professional need to clean it or can I clean it myslef?Thanks.
- If you have the funds, buy a steam cleaner - good ones can be found for less than $200. Get one of the ones with the brushes that swirl around to pull out the hair. I got mine at Target for $168 and it doesn wonders on my carpet, even with two dogs and two kids!

- Spanking him on the butt does not help. Early in the morning and at exact intervals you need to take your dog to the right spot. This will become a habit. Its like teaching a child. You need patience and keep training at the right time.
