Q:Whats the difference between carpet and carpet tile?
carpet based on quality of padding can range .89 cent to $2.00 a sf and an additionl 200 to 400 depending on size of room and additional required like carpet tacks, removing reinstalling trim etc. but a carpet installing company can save you by packing it all into a flat price. many adds running Empire comes to mind to name as 1. Hardwood is $1.50 to $6.00 per square for mid grade. Install here depends heavily on conditions but typical range is 400+ based on area your in. Fake wood or wood laminate is cheaper then hardwood per square but same for install due to time to install. Ceramic - most expensive starting at $2.00 per square this is a labor intensive project typically done over 2 days with diamond tile saw the labor for this project can reach $2,000 no matter the quality of the tile. the more intricate and smaller the tiles you want to use the more expensive the labor gets. hope this helps
Q:Carpet Fresh?
He might be allergic to it! Change it to a different one.
Q:I am currently in Afghanistan and need help picking out an oriental rug.?
Different region use different patterns. Smal knotts are good. the smaler the better. The pattern should be clearly visible in the back otherwise you have a machine knitted one
Q:What do I do with my carpet?
Where ever you take or put your garbage now , BUT, Landfills may charge you because its non compactible trash. Your curb side pick up generally will take it if you put it out in just a few , small cut up (tied or taped) rolls at a time . Don t try all the carpet at once they usually won t do that much at a time. I ve run into some companies that will do a one time spring clean up pick up service. Some have this as a service ( once a year) but most people don t know about it because they don t tell you up front. Cut the carpet from the back its much easier, tie or duct tape it in easy to carry rolls. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar, I ve ripped out enough carpet over the years to last me a life time. lol GL
Q:Putting a rug on a horse?
the correct way is to fold the rug in half so that the back is level with the withers. You should not throw the rug over but slip it over the withers until it is in place but still folder in half. You do up the front straps, unfold the rug back and make sure it is lever but do not pull it back tight against the horses chest. Then you do up the belly straps then leg straps if there are any. Removing the rug you do it in reverse, undo leg straps and do them back up on the outside of the leg. Belly straps, chest straps and then you fold the front of the rug back to the top of the tail and slip it off the horse.
Q:What colour rug would go well with a blue/cream sofa?
Try 'caramel' as the color for the curtains, and get a rug which has both caramel and a slightly lighter red in it for the floor. You could get a lighter red for the curtains, but I think the caramel (medium gold-tan) would work better. You'll also need some totally contrasting colors, but I'd get those as plants, either living or 'silk' unless you like taking care of the plants.
Q:What are carpet balls?
Carpet balls. Used in the Victorian game of carpet bowls, made in brown stoneware or white earthenware coloured with starry, ringed, or flowery patterns. A set comprised six patterned and one white or self-coloured balls. Made in Scotland an Staffordshire. The Parr family of Burslem specialized in them. Properly called a carpet bowl for a game of carpet bowling, a variation of lawn bowling which is also related to bocce.Carpet balls were developed during the reign of Queen Victoria--1832-1901--as a form of outdoor bowls to be played in the parlor. The game is currently experiencing a resurgence in Canada and GB.
Q:How to buy a little bit of carpet?
contact with carpet dealer or go OKorder shop
Q:Fruit punch on a white carpet?
Scissors.
Q:Throw up on the carpet?
Probably the fibers are now chemically burned. No remedy. If the closets are carpeted, cut a patch from the back corner and exchange with the damaged section. Use double sided carpet tape to hold down the patch. In the future have some enzyme carpet cleaner for vomit and use that after cleaning up the chunks. Actually club soda works wonders.......
