Q:And then you use a hair dryer on it and it shrinks the plastic?Does that work for all plastic? Will all plastic shrink? Or are the ones in the store a 'special' type of plastic?: If you want to check the kind of plastic you have stretch it over a window, like you plan to and warm the plastic with a hair dryer, if it tightens up your all set. Its a very clear thin plastic in those kits.

Q:Can you use glass chalk on jeep windows (the plastic ones)?: I am not sure if it would actually stick to the window or not but I would not advise using it even if it will work. Jeep plastic windows scratch very easily so it would probably damage the windows.

Q:I have a 1994 convertible with a plastic rear window, and it has 13 years of dirtiness on that thing. There is a bunch of ugly what I presume are scratches all across teh middle (probably from the folding process).Also, there are little almost transparent white circles (you have to see them from an angle though)... that are also really annoying.Can you identify what those circles are??I've tried meguire's plastx polish...and even some white vinegar distilled in water.Currently, im looking for a more aggressive product.: I agree with John Paul. Q:I have a Renault Clio authentique 1.2L and it has electric windows....there is a plastic clip attached to the back of the glass that i presume keeps the glass coming up and down at the right angle but it comes up really slowly and some times not at all....i think it has something to do either with the plastic clip or it needs more lubrication.....any help is appreciated. Q:ok i have a corvette 1986 convertible. The car isn't perfect but i love it. the main problem for me is the rear plastic window. It is brown and is not visible at all to the inside for the outside. I need to know if there is any product out there that can go beyond the cleaning of oxidation. i want the window clear again. And yes it has been left outside for about 5 years to face the elements but i was not the first owner so i presume that it has been outside longer. so the question comes down to how do make the window go from brown to clear without buying a new top.: Go to an MG Spares store and ask for GREYGATE!! Its the Rear monitor Polish that all the MGF forum web sites Swear by means of !! I've acquired an MG Midget MGF and and had been told SO oftentimes by way of these guys that that is THE !!! Stuff to make use of. Additionally been advised that BMW spares stores do a very good screenpolish too.

Q:for wranglar soft top windows: Might try Gripflex. It's sold by Sign Suppliers. It comes in many colors and light with show thru it, but it's too opaque to see thru. If you need to see thru the plastic look elsewhere.

Q:Is there a way to get the plastic windows on my convertible clear again without replacing.?: maguiers makes some stuff called clear plastic cleaner.polish,conditioner all in one its avail at any auto parts store but other brands are avail...that do the same job,they work really good are meant for your situation,,,,$10.00 or less its in the car wax section.......clear plastic polish......try it on your headlight lenses,guage cluster lens, brake lights, adds new life to all plastic lenses.

I can barely see out my windows!: car shampoo is the best to clean your plastic window, because they will keep your plastic window turn brown or spoted (like when u used a detergent soap) for best result do not let your car get exposure by direct hit from the sunlight when washing your car
